    Abstract: A tool holder includes a receiving body, an interface at the rear for receiving the tool holder in a machine tool, a receiving section at the front for the tool, and a coolant bore arranged between the interface and the receiving section and by which coolant is conducted from the interface to the receiving section. The coolant bore has a first region with an adjoining second region. A coolant tube is arranged in the first region of the coolant bore. In the direction of the receiving section, between the coolant tube and the second region of the coolant bore, a cavity is formed in the receiving body or in the first region. A bridging element through which the coolant can flow and which seals the coolant flow in relation to the cavity is arranged in the cavity between the coolant tube and an interface-side end of the second region.

    Abstract: A shrink-fitting apparatus and method for the automated shrink-fitting a tool into and out of a tool holder, and a conveying box for tool holders and/or tools. The tool may be a rotary tool, such as a milling cutter, a drill, or the like. The tool holder may be a shrink-fit receptacle. The apparatus has a first multiaxial handling apparatus for transferring tool holders and tools in the shrink-fitting apparatus. Accuracy is ensured for loading the tool holder with tools by way of shrink-fitting in an automated overall process for automated production of workpieces, by providing the shrink-fitting apparatus with a second, automatically displaceable handling apparatus. The handling apparatus has a uniaxial linear drive for automatically displacing the tool along one axis (Z axis) relative to the tool holder during the shrink-fitting and/or removal operation.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a tool holder with a tool holding fixture, in particular a clamping chuck such as a contracting chuck, a draw-in collect chuck, a hydraulic expanding chuck and a high-precision chuck, and a shank of a tool, in particular a rotary tool, accommodated in it, wherein the tool holder contains a means for preventing the tool from being pulled out, locking it against axial displacement. This pull-out preventing unit comprises at least one locking element and at least one locking groove, which corresponds to the said locking element, receives it and interacts with it in a positively locking manner. In this case, both the locking element and the locking groove are formed at least partly in the manner of a ball head. Preferably, the tool has the locking grooves. On account of preferably spirally arranged locking grooves along the cylindrical shank of rotary tools, the direction of pitch of which grooves corresponds to the direction of the grooves of the tool, axial locking of the tool is obtained, so that the tool cannot be axially displaced from the tool holder during operation. In addition, force-exerting elements are arranged, with the effect of making the tool lie against the pull-out preventer without play after shrink-fitting.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a tool holding device comprising a tool holding body for securing, in a fixed manner, a rotary tool comprising a shaft, provided with a clamping section and a receiving opening for the shall of the tool, a coolant feeding device for pressurized fluid, at least one coolant guiding device for guiding the coolant into a clamped tool shaft. The coolant guiding device is designed as at least one flat groove on an inner side of the receiving opening, joining to the front side on a free end of the tool holding body and directly adjacent to the tool shaft in the surroundings of the tool holding device or a coolant storing chamber and or collecting chamber is provided in the region of the free end of the tool holding body, to which the at least one coolant guiding device joins. The coolant storing chamber and or collecting chamber is connected by means of an annular gap to the surroundings of the tool holder device. The coolant storing chamber and/or collecting chamber and the annular gap are defined at least partially by the work shaft.
