摘要： A primary controller operates to transmit write data and a write time to a secondary controller in the earlier sequence of the write times after reporting a completion of a request for write to a processing unit. The secondary controller stores the write data and the write time transmitted from the primary controller in the cache memory. At a time, the secondary controller stores the write data in a disk unit in the earlier sequence of the write time. These operations make it possible to guarantee all the write data on or before the reference time.

摘要： A highly volatile electrical/electronic parts surfactant containing a polyether-modified silicone having one polyether chain in the molecule, wherein the surface tension at 25° C. of a 0.01 mass % aqueous solution thereof is 25 mN/m or less, the aforesaid silicone is expressed by the following average structural formula (1), and when heated from room temperature to 200° C. at a rate of 5° C./minute to 200° C. and maintained at a temperature of 200° C. for 100 minutes, the polyether-modified silicone completely volatilizes without leaving any remainder, and a method of manufacturing this highly volatile polyether-modified silicone are disclosed. 摘要： In a storage system, a logical volume is divided into a plurality of small areas called logical storage devices and only such an area designated by a user is made an object of remote copying or migratory copying. Also, there is provided a unit for forming a logical volume from any logical storage device of any RAID group. Thereby, the reduction of the deterioration in performance at the time of remote copying, the reduction of a storage area to be assigned to a secondary site as a copy destination, the shortening of a time required for migratory copying and the assignment of any area of a logical volume on any RAID group are enabled.

摘要： A data sharing method for use in a computer system provided with a first computer, a second computer and a data storage subsystem for connection with the first and second computers is disclosed. The data storage subsystem has a plurality of memory units and a control unit for controlling the plurality of memory units. The control unit forms a paired state of a first memory unit storing data for use by the first computer and a second memory unit, the paired state being so controlled as to match the contents of the first memory unit and those of the second memory unit. When data used by the first computer are to be used by the second computer, the control unit releases the paired state between the first memory unit and the second memory unit to stop updating of the first memory unit to be reflected in the second memory unit. After that, the control unit re-maps a third memory unit used by the second computer and the second memory unit with each other, and so performs control that the access by the second computer to the third memory unit be made to the second memory unit.
