摘要: An optical information recording and reproducing device is provided. The device includes a light source for emitting a light beam, a first diffraction element for splitting the light beam into at least three diffracted beams, an optical system guiding the diffracted beams to a recording medium, and a second diffraction element including at least one division line and a diffraction surface from which the diffracted beams are diffracted. The diffraction surface is divided into at least two regions by the division line or lines. One of the division lines is at a predetermined angle against the direction of a track on the recording medium, and the regions split each of the diffracted beams into at least two parts to diffract the parts in different directions. The device also includes an optical detecting element for detecting the light beams diffracted with the second diffraction element.

摘要: A scale indication device includes a character plate having sets of characters printed on a front side thereof such that each set of characters has characters disposed about an eccentric circle having a predetermined radius. A scale plate is disposed adjacent the character plate. The scale plate has a window corresponding to each of the sets of characters such that only one of the characters in each set may be viewed through the window at a time. An eccentric rotation device is mounted on a gearbox and rotates the character plate such that different ones of the characters in each set may be viewed through the window. The rotation device includes a scale switching gear rotatable about an axis, a first engagement device formed on the scale switching gear at a distance from the axis equal to the predetermined radius, and a second engagement device formed on the character plate for rotatably engaging the first engagement device.

摘要: A color image processing technique using optics to separate an original color image into a plurality of colors. These colors are photoelectrically converted to electric signals. Color information signals are then generated from these electric signals. The color information signals are coded by comparing them with a threshold value. An individualized set of such threshold values is provided for each of the plurality of colors. In one embodiment, a luminance signal is provided from the color information signals. The luminance signal is utilized in response to a monochrome code selection signal to enable the original color image to be reproduced as a monochrome image. Color gamut information and color density information of the color gamut can be obtained from the color information signals during a first scan of a document bearing the color image.

摘要: A fuel supply control system for an automobile engine comprises a detector for detecting change in engine operating condition, a fuel adjuster for variably controlling the amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine, an A/F ratio setting device for setting the lower or higher A/F ratio of a combustible mixture than the critical A/F ratio to a higher or lower A/F ratio than a critical A/F ratio at which the engine can produce substantially the same or intermediate torque as that produced by the same engine with the supply of such combustible mixture, and a control operable in response to an output from the detector to control the fuel adjuster in such a way that, at the time the engine is desired or required to be switched from one engine operating condition to another, the A/F ratio lower or higher than the critical A/F ratio can be rapidly adjusted to the higher or lower A/F ratio set by the A/F ratio setting device and, thereafter, the A/F ratio can be progressively adjusted to a target or desired value.
