摘要: A locking syringe with an integrated bias member, for delivering medical fluids at high pressure, can include a housing, a shaft, a piston, a cap assembly, a bias member, and a locking member. A distal end of the housing can interface with a patient delivery apparatus. A piston can be connected to the distal end of the shaft and can include a peripheral sealing surface that can slidably engage the inside surface of the housing to form a movable seal. The cap assembly at the proximal end of the housing can engage the shaft. A base cap can secure the piston within the housing. The bias member can have a distal end coupled to the piston and a proximal end restrained, such as to help pressurize the internal cavity. The user-actuatable locking member can user-selectively engage and inhibit unwanted movement of the shaft.

摘要: A method of purifying crude pyridine on an industrial scale at low cost and in a simple manner is provided. More specifically, a pyridine purification method including subjecting crude pyridine to an alkali treatment and then to distillation, or a pyridine purification method including adding an acid or water to crude pyridine, and subjecting the resulting mixture to an alkali treatment and then to distillation is provided. According to the purification method of the present invention, crude pyridine can be purified on an industrial scale at low cost and in a simple manner. Moreover, the pyridine purified by this method is useful as a starting material for various organic syntheses because of its high purity. For example, the pyridine can be reacted with chlorine to produce a chlorinated pyridine in a high yield.

摘要: A magnet assembly for decoupling a plurality of different types of magnetically operated security devices includes a center pole magnet having a magnetic orientation along a first direction. A plurality of magnets adjacent to and surrounding the center pole magnet define an opening above the center pole magnet. Each adjacent magnet has a magnetic orientation orthogonal to the first direction. An end pole magnet is disposed adjacent to one of the magnets adjacent to the center pole magnet. The end pole magnet has magnetic orientation opposed to the first direction.
