摘要: Flush syringe assemblies are described herein. Such flush syringe assembly may include a barrel including a side wall defining a chamber, an open proximal end, a distal end having a distal wall with an elongate tip extending distally therefrom having a passageway therethrough in fluid communication with said chamber. A collar may be mounted on the distal wall of the barrel and surrounding the elongate tip. A disinfectant-loaded swab may be disposed in the collar. The flush syringe assembly may also include a removable cap.

摘要: In some examples, a medical dispensing device includes a housing and a trigger. A first engager of the device is configured to move axially as the trigger pivots. As the first engager moves, it engages a rod. A maximum proximal position of the rod is defined by a stop. A spring presses the first engager into the trigger such that either the trigger or the first engager rests against a stop limiting rotation of the trigger. A second engager moves axially as the trigger pivots. At the actuated position the second engager, defined by a stop, the second engager limits proximal movement of the rod. An assembly transfers movement of the trigger to the second engager after the trigger has pivoted a threshold amount. A member of the assembly distally moves the second engager. Until it is at the actuated position, the second engager enables the rod to proximally move.

摘要: One embodiment is directed to a safety syringe system, comprising: an off-the-shelf syringe assembly comprising a syringe body and a plunger tip; a needle assembly removably coupleable to the distal end of the syringe body such that medicinal fluid may be transferred through a retractable needle coupled to a needle housing comprising the needle assembly upon insertion of the plunger tip relative to the syringe body; and a plunger control assembly coupled to the plunger tip and configured to facilitate manual insertion of the plunger tip relative to the syringe body; wherein upon insertion of the plunger tip to a final insertion state and release of an associated manual insertion load, the plunger tip may be proximally withdrawn, pulling the retractable needle proximally relative to the needle housing to a safe locked and retracted state wherein it is no longer exposed for injection.

The operation unit has a first contact portion and the structure has a second contact portion, the contact portions being configured to come into contact with each other when the operation unit moves toward the structure in the distal direction.

摘要: An apparatus includes a housing coupled to a medicament container, which is coupled to a needle. An injection assembly is disposed within the housing and includes an energy storage member and an actuation rod. A distal end portion of the actuation rod is disposed within the medicament container. The energy storage member can produce a force on a proximal end portion of the actuation rod sufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container. This can convey at least a portion of a substance from the medicament container via the needle when a distal tip of the needle is disposed within a first region of a target location. The force is insufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container when the distal tip of the needle is disposed within a second region of the target location.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for a syringe that is designed to enable a plunger to be locked or secured in position thereby freeing a user's hand from the plunger for other tasks. The syringe may be coupled to a needle or hypodermic needle or other apparatus such as an intravenous line/port or catheter. The syringe takes advantage of a tapered barrel and a positive stop to prevent movement of the piston along the inner surface of the barrel when no force is being actively applied to the plunger. This prevents unwanted suction or spillage of the contents contained therein.

The medicament delivery device includes a container holder assembly and an actuator assembly. The container holder assembly is configured to receive a container containing a medicament. The retaining apparatus includes a plunger lock, a retaining member, and a biasing member. The plunger lock is seated within a proximal end of the actuator assembly, and secures the plunger rod. The retaining member is seated within the plunger lock. The biasing member is secured between the proximal end of the actuator assembly and the retaining member. The retaining member is biased in a proximal direction by the biasing member.

The second connecting component has a second threaded section which is complementary to the first threaded section.

摘要: The present invention provides a disposable syringe and a push rod for use in a disposable syringe. The push rod comprises a proximal end, a distal end and an axis extending through the proximal end and the distal end. The distal end of the push rod is provided with a snap-fitting mechanism and a stop flange located at a proximal side of the snap-fitting mechanism. The stop flange comprises a main body portion formed about an axis of the push rod and a plurality of finger-like portions extending from the main body portion in a direction away from the axis of the push rod. According to the present invention, a smaller push force continues to be applied to the push rod upon completion of the injection, thereby achieving an additional stroke needed when the distal end of the push rod snap-fits with the needle seat and meanwhile lessening the patient's pains.
