摘要: A detect decision is made by non-coherently combining results from correlating a preamble (CAZAC) sequence with base/root sequences used in the cell and setting a detection threshold based on those combined results. Another threshold can be set based on coherently combining results from correlating the preamble sequence, in which case the detect decision is based on satisfying either one of the thresholds. Where the sequence repeats in the same preamble, the results that are combined are from correlating the first instance of the CAZAC sequence and from correlating the second instance of the CAZAC sequence. Where the sequence does not repeat, different segments of the CAZAC sequence, each less than the whole and not necessarily of the same length, are correlated for a partial correlation on each segment, then the segments are combined and used to set the detection threshold. Detection may be done in stages, adjusting the threshold after the first stage based on comparing the results of non-coherent and coherent combining.

摘要: In one non-limiting aspect thereof, the exemplary embodiments of this invention provide a user equipment that includes a data processor; and a wireless transceiver configured to transmit uplink pilot signals during sub-bands and slots, wherein at least three blocks (LB1, LB2 and LB3) are reserved for pilot signals. LB1 and LB2 include in-band pilot signals transmitted using a dedicated pilot code. The wireless transceiver is further configured to transmit LB3 using a frequency hopping pattern and pilot code allocation that are based on a slot and a sub-band in which a first LB3 is transmitted. Thus, the code and hopping pattern of a scheduled user equipment are resource-specific (defined by an allocated resource), as opposed to being user equipment-specific.

摘要: A signal-to-interference power ratio (SIR) estimation method implementable in a telecommunication system is provided. The proposed SIR estimation method estimates SIR from received pilot symbols of a plurality of time intervals of a frame and is capable of taking into account different transmit powers of pilot symbols of different time intervals which would normally degrade the SIR estimate.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a downlink connection in a cellular network. A feedback information indicating a selected cell is transmitted to a central network element (20) controlling at least two network elements (N1–N3) serving cells (C1–C3) of the cellular network. The at least two network elements are controlled by the central network element based on the feedback information so as to establish the downlink connection. Thus, the downlink transmissions of the non-central network elements (N1–N3) are controlled by the network so as to decrease performance loss due to reception errors of the feedback information. The feedback information may be a temporary ID obtained in a site selection diversity transmission control scheme.

摘要: According to an embodiment a user equipment UE transmits uplink control signals using one or more chunks of uplink frequency spectrum that contain a simultaneous uplink shared channel; and for the case where there is no simultaneous uplink shared channel available, the UE transmits uplink control signals using only a single chunk of uplink frequency spectrum. In various embodiments the control signals are ACK/NACK control signals transmitted on an uplink control channel, the uplink shared channel comprises a chunk-specific uplink control channel, and each chunk comprises a component carrier of a LTE-A system. Downlink assignment index bits may be included in a downlink grant to the UE which indicates how many chunks in total are allocated in a current downlink subframe. The UE can also use ACK/NACK control signal bundling over chunks in addition to either or both of chunk-specific ACK/NACK control signals or ACK/NAK control signal multiplexing.
