摘要: The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a downlink connection in a cellular network. A feedback information indicating a selected cell is transmitted to a central network element (20) controlling at least two network elements (N1–N3) serving cells (C1–C3) of the cellular network. The at least two network elements are controlled by the central network element based on the feedback information so as to establish the downlink connection. Thus, the downlink transmissions of the non-central network elements (N1–N3) are controlled by the network so as to decrease performance loss due to reception errors of the feedback information. The feedback information may be a temporary ID obtained in a site selection diversity transmission control scheme.

摘要: The invention provides a method, system, and network entity for adaptive setting or reservation of channelization codes and/or power for downlink channel in a communication network, in particular for DSCH and HS-DSCH, using parameters (PtxDSCHallowed, SFmin) for minimum allowed Spreading Factor, SF, and/or allowed power level, the parameters being set depending on the traffic load, the total cell load and/or the availability of channelization codes.

摘要: A method is described for transmitting data, particularly but not exclusively packet data, from a transmitting station to a receiving station via a wireless channel. The data is transmitted in transmission intervals or TTI slots. The method comprises estimating a utilisation factor representing usage of the transmission intervals, and scheduling the data for transmission to increase the utilisation factor. The effect is to reduce stochastic pattern interference for other users in a wireless communications network. A network node for implementing the above method is also disclosed.
