    Abstract: An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus are provided. The image decoding method includes obtaining, from a bitstream, network abstraction layer (NAL) unit type information of at least one NAL unit including coded image data, determining at least one NAL unit type of one or more slices in the current picture based on the obtained NAL unit type information, and decoding the current picture based on the determined NAL unit type. The current picture is determined to be a random access skipped leading (RASL) picture, based on the determined NAL unit type including a RASL picture NAL unit type (RASL_NUT). When an intra random access point (IRAP) picture associated with the RASL picture is a first picture in decoding order, the RASL picture is decoded, based on the RASL picture including one or more slices having a random access decodable leading (RADL) picture NAL unit type (RADL_NUT).

    Abstract: An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus are provided. An image decoding method performed by an image decoding apparatus comprises obtaining inter prediction information of a current block and wraparound information from a bitstream, and generating a prediction block of the current block based on the inter prediction information and the wraparound information. The wraparound information may comprise a first flag specifying whether wraparound motion compensation is enabled for a current picture including the current block. Based on the first flag having a predetermined value specifying that the wraparound motion compensation is enabled for the current picture, the prediction block may be generated by performing the wraparound motion compensation, and the wraparound motion compensation may be performed based on either boundaries of a current subpicture including the current block or boundaries of a reference picture of the current block, based on whether the current subpicture is independently coded or not.

    Abstract: An image decoding method according to the present invention includes: receiving information on a set of reference pictures for configuring a set of reference pictures of a current picture, wherein the information on the set of reference pictures includes the most significant bit (MSB) information that may calculate the MSB of the picture order count (POC) of a long-term reference picture relative to the current picture, and flag information that represents whether there is MSB information; and eliciting the set of reference pictures by using received MSB information when the flag information is 1, and performing marking on the reference picture, wherein the flag information may be 1 when a temporal sub-layer identifier is 0, and there is at least one POC value for which a remainder obtained by dividing by a maximum value MaxPicOrderCntLsb capable of being represented by the LSB is the same as the least significant bit (LSB) of the POC of the long-term reference picture, in a set of POCs of a previous picture including POC values related to the previous picture that may not be discarded without affecting whether other pictures of the same temporal layer may be decoded.
