    摘要: A process for preparing and packaging an ink jet cartridge in a package container is disclosed. The ink jet cartridge is filled with ink and has an outer frame, a discharge port for discharging the ink and an electrical connecting portion through which a recording signal is supplied to discharge the ink through the discharge port. The package container includes a recess member having a recess portion in which the ink jet cartridge is received, a cap member joined to the recess member to close the recess portion, and a rib for supporting the outer frame of the ink jet cartridge. The rib is provided on the recess member and/or the cap member, and supports the ink jet cartridge so that the discharge port and/or the electrical connecting portion are prevented from contacting the recess member and the cap member. The process includes the steps of providing the ink jet cartridge filled with ink, providing the package container, positioning the ink jet cartridge filled with ink in the recess member of the package container and closing the recess member in which the ink jet cartridge is positioned with the cap member.

    摘要: In order to detect a plurality of framing bit sequences for establishing synchronization at a receiver in a digital communications system, first and second counters are rapidly reset in order to establish the synchronization as early as possible. A comparator receives a bit stream transmitted and a desired bit sequence for use in detecting the framing bit, and compares the desired bit sequence with part of the bit stream and issues a coincidence signal in the event that the desired bit sequence coincides with the part of the bit stream. The first counter is coupled to receive the coincidence signal, and allows an output indicating the establishment of the synchronization to issue in the event that it reaches a predetermined number of correct coincidence signals. The second counter counts up the number of occurrences of the output of a clock counter, and resets itself and the first counter when reaching a predetermine number of occurrences of a pseudo-coincidence signal.

    摘要: A liquid ejection recording head comprises a supporting substrate having energy generating elements thereon, a lid member and a wall portion between the supporting substrate and the lid member. The wall portion includes a surrounding wall that forms a liquid chamber between the substrate and the lid member and an enclosing wall disposed around the surrounding wall that provides a gap between the surrounding and enclosing walls, which gap is in communication with the exterior of the head through an opening in the enclosing wall. The wall portion also includes a plurality of substantially similar, parallel wall members, a first plurality of which forms an array of flow paths from the liquid chamber to orifices for discharging liquid when the energy generating elements are actuated and a second plurality of which forms open channels not in communication with the liquid chamber but in communication with the exterior of the recording head. The wall portion enables a secure bond to be made with the lid member, since it presents sufficient contact area for bonding, while the open channels and gap prevent air from being trapped between the lid member and substrate during assembly of the head.

In a preferred embodiment the filler comprises a plurality of glass balls having increasing diameters in the upstream direction. The use of such a filler increases the frequency response, droplet ejection speed and droplet diameter of the recording head.
