Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may start, at a default data subscription (DDS) of the UE, a timer associated with a non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) tunnel over a cellular network based at least in part on a DDS switching at the UE. The UE may determine, at the DDS, that the non-3GPP tunnel over the cellular network is available prior to an expiry of the timer. The UE may perform a handover of a non-3GPP tunnel over data connection to the DDS based at least in part on the DDS switching at the UE and the non-3GPP tunnel over the cellular network being available prior to the expiry of the timer. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may use multiple subscriber identification modules (SIMs) in dual-SIM dual-active (DSDA) communications. A DSDA UE may support identification of a set of available radio frequency (RF) resources for communications, where the set of available RF resources include multiple RF components (e.g., transmit/receive antennas), RF baseband resources (e.g., processing resources that support processing and decoding of transmissions), or combinations thereof. The set of available resources may be shared between multiple SIMs, and the UE may identify different resource partitions of the set of available resources, with different resource partitions used to provide concurrent communications of both the first SIM and the second SIM based on parameters of each SIM.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for handling uplink grants that have associated uplink transmission that may exceed exposure limits. Exposure limits may be based on maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limits of millimeter wave transmissions and may be determined at a user equipment (UE) and provided to a base station. If the UE receives an uplink grant for a transmission in which an associated uplink transmission would exceed the exposure limits, the UE may drop the uplink transmission prior to forming a transport block, transmit control signaling to the base station to indicate the exposure limits at the UE, or combinations thereof.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, on a first subscriber identity module (SIM) operating in a connected mode, a signal using a first antenna associated with a first antenna module. The UE may configure, for a second SIM operating in an idle mode, a second antenna associated with the first antenna module for receive operations. The UE may switch a transmit antenna associated with the first SIM from the first antenna to a third antenna associated with a second antenna module based at least in part on configuring the second antenna for receive operations and based at least in part on the first antenna module being unable to support concurrent transmission and reception of signals. The UE may transmit, on the first SIM, a signal using the third antenna. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-universal subscriber identification module (USIM) and dual connectivity operation. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes establishing a first access link, associated with a first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a first base station; establishing a second access link, associated with the first SIM of the UE, for communicating with a second base station; establishing a third access link associated with a second SIM of the UE; determining a need for reduced capability on the second access link to communicate on the third access link; transmitting an indication of the need for the reduced capability to the second base station; and communicating on the third access link using the second SIM simultaneously with communicating on the second access link using the first SIM, wherein communicating on the second access link is at the reduced capability.

Abstract: The various embodiments provide methods implemented in a multi-RF communication device for managing a victim subscription's de-sense by proactively implementing an RF coexistence management strategy on the victim subscription when an RF coexistence event starts. In various embodiments, a multi-RF communication device may implement an RF coexistence management strategy by determining when an aggressor subscription will de-sense a victim subscription and configuring the victim to anticipate and mitigate de-sense during the aggressor's transmissions. Abstract: A UE apparatus determines UE capability and signals UE capability information to a base station. The obp may be indicated on a per UE basis, a per band basis, a per band combination basis, a per band, per band combination basis; and/or a per CC, per band, per band combination basis. Each band combination may indicate a combination of a numerology, a layer and a bandwidth. In another example, a plurality of basebands may be defined, each baseband indicating a combination of a numerology, a layer and a bandwidth.
