    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for beam switching by a repeater node that forwards communications from one of a first node or a second node to the other of the first node or the second node. For example, after a change of position by the second node, the first node may provide the repeater node an instruction to perform a beam change operation to communicate with the second node. In some aspects, performing the beam change operation by the repeater node may improve reliability of wireless communications, such as by focusing signal energy in a particular direction. Further, a beam change delay time interval or a scheduling of the beam change delay time interval may be selected based on scheduling associated with other nodes, which may reduce a number of messages sent to the repeater node (such as by reducing instructions to change beam directions).

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) ordered random access channel (RACH) procedure. The RACH procedure may be associated with a cell-defining synchronization signal block (SSB) or non-cell-defining SSB. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting an indication of one or more capabilities of the UE, receiving a PDCCH that orders the UE to perform a RACH procedure on an uplink carrier based on the one or more capabilities of the UE, determining a minimum gap between a last symbol of the PDCCH and a first symbol of a RACH message, wherein the minimum gap includes a half-duplex (HD) switching delay, and performing the RACH procedure on the uplink carrier when a gap between the last symbol of the PDCCH and the first symbol of the RACH message is equal to or larger than the minimum gap.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for efficient signaling of feedback regarding communications of a relaying operation. In some aspects, a relay node may defer feedback regarding reception of a first communication until relaying feedback regarding the payload of the first communication, thereby reducing overhead and signaling burden. In some aspects, a relay node may skip the transmission of feedback regarding the first communication altogether, either on the assumption that the link between the relay node and the first wireless node is reliable, or on the basis of the first wireless node being able to infer the reception of the first communication based on subsequent communications. In some aspects, a relay node may be enabled to skip forwarding of feedback from a second wireless node, such that the first wireless node can infer that the payload was received if no negative feedback associated with the payload is received.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) establishing and utilizing a reference timing for a carrier or cell with multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs). A UE may receive a downlink signal on each of a plurality of component carriers (CCs), and determine respective timing events (e.g., slot boundaries, subframe boundaries, etc.) corresponding to each of the plurality of CCs. The UE may then determine a reference time for a first CC of the plurality of CCs. This reference time corresponds to a function of two or more timing events corresponding to different TRPs utilizing the first CC. The UE then determines a relative timing difference between the plurality of CCs based on this determined reference time. A method comprises transmitting or providing an instruction to transmit a first set of RS to a user equipment (UE) in accordance with a first set of RS transmission parameters, receiving a report containing information indicating whether a measurement performed by the UE is limited by a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the first set of RS or a bandwidth of the first set of RS, determining a second set of RS transmission parameters using the received report, wherein the second set of RS transmission parameters is different from the first set of RS transmission parameters, and transmitting a second set of RS to the UE in accordance with the second set of RS transmission parameters, or providing the second set of RS transmission parameters to a base station.
