Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for sidelink control signaling using unlicensed spectrum. Wireless devices may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure before accessing a channel of the unlicensed spectrum, and may be unable to access the unlicensed spectrum in some circumstances. In some implementations, a wireless device may leverage resources available for transmitting a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) for additionally transmitting control signaling. For example, a wireless device may multiplex (such as frequency domain multiplexing) a control signal with a S-SSB, which may be transmitted in accordance with a relaxed LBT threshold. In some implementations, the control signal may include information such as an indication of LBT failure or an LBT status, or may be used to detect a radio link failure (RLF), or may be used the short control signal to synchronize sidelink clusters, among other examples.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink control information (SCI) message during a mini-slot of a control resource pool which is decoupled from a data resource pool for sidelink communications. The first SCI message may indicate a data message to be transmitted on a subchannel of the data resource pool to a second UE, where resources between the control resource pool and the data resource pool are mapped. The UE may receive a feedback message from the second UE for the first SCI message during a second mini-slot of the control resource pool. The feedback message may indicate whether a collision or strong interference was detected for the first SCI message. The UE may determine whether to transmit the data message or retransmit the first SCI message based on the feedback message.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to intra-slot transmit beam selection and receive beam selection for sidelink are provided. A first user equipment (UE) transmits, to a second UE over a sidelink, a plurality of beam measurement signals in a plurality of beam directions during a first slot, wherein each beam measurement signal of the plurality of beam measurement signals includes at least one of sidelink control information (SCI) or a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS), and wherein the plurality of beam directions includes at least two different beam directions. The first UE receives, from the second UE, an indication of a preferred beam direction of the plurality of beam directions. The first UE transmits, to the second UE over the sidelink, data in the preferred beam direction.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify one or more channel occupancy times (COTs) associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) on an unlicensed band. The UE may calculate a congestion control parameter associated with a second RAT on the unlicensed band, wherein the congestion control parameter is calculated by excluding sub-channels in the one or more COTs. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support half-duplex-aware resource selection in sidelink. A physical (PHY) layer at a user equipment (UE) may report available resources to a medium access control (MAC) layer excluding some resources on which the UE is scheduled to receive or other UEs are scheduled to transmit. Specifically, the PHY layer may exclude resources on which the UE is scheduled to receive from a set of resources available for a sidelink transmission from the UE. Similarly, the PHY layer at the UE may exclude resources on which other UEs are scheduled to transmit from a set of resources available for a sidelink transmission to those UEs. A MAC layer at the UE may indicate to the PHY layer (e.g., directly or indirectly) the resources to be excluded when reporting available resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, user equipment (UEs) may communicate over sidelink channels in a shared (e.g., unlicensed) channel bandwidth. A UE may implement sub-channel-based occupancy time sharing for the unlicensed sidelink to improve resource usage. The UE may gain access to the shared channel bandwidth for an occupancy time and may transmit a sharing indicator indicating a portion of resources of the shared channel bandwidth for the occupancy time. The UE may transmit a time-division multiplexing sharing indicator to share a portion of slots of the occupancy time, a frequency-division multiplexing sharing indicator to share a portion of sub-channels of the shared channel bandwidth, or some combination thereof. A UE receiving the sharing indicator may identify the shared resources and may transmit in these shared resources (e.g., without performing a full contention process for an occupancy time).

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support cross-slot scheduling of sidelink transmissions in a wireless communication system. A transmitting user equipment (UE) in communication with a receiving UE over a sidelink transmits cross-slot schedule information to the receiving UE at a time prior to a first slot over which a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission is to be transmitted to the receiving UE. The cross-slot schedule information includes information that is sufficient to decode the PSSCH transmission received by the receiving UE at the first slot, without requiring the receiving UE to decode a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) transmission including a sidelink control information (SCI) message received during the first slot. In aspects, the PSSCH transmission may be decoded in parallel with the PSCCH transmission received in the first slot.
