Disclosed is a novel group of compounds having a general structure of anthracene body substituted with at least one thiophenyl group, which can be further substituted with various substituent groups. These new compounds are generally compatible with organic electroluminescence. Also disclosed are organic electroluminescent devices and method of making the same. The organic electroluminescent devices include at least one of the compounds in various layers thereof. Organic electroluminescent devices employing the new compounds in their light-emitting layers show outstanding stability.

A wearable system and a method for transferring and controlling information/service based on biologically generated information from a user are provided. In the method, an intuitive bio signal generated by a user is sensed and a device pointed by the sensed bio signal is selected. Then, bio signal information is created using the sensed bio signal and the generated bio signal information is transmitted to the selected device. After transmitting, the information/service is transferred to the selected device after confirming that the selected device that receives the bio signal information is activated.

Provided is an apparatus and method for providing inter-piconet data communication in a wireless personal area network. The apparatus includes a piconet association unit, a superframe synchronization unit, a superframe synchronization unit, a DSPS (device synchronized power save) set creation unit, a piconet information announcement unit, a transfer data storage unit, and a data transfer unit. The piconet association unit confirms that a plurality of piconets are located on different channels, and performs a piconet association process. The superframe synchronization unit performs superframe synchronization between piconets. The DSPS set creation unit creates a DSPS set or joining an existing DSPS set. The piconet information announcement unit provides a device with information about another data-transferable piconet and devices belonging to the piconet. The transfer data storage unit receives and stores data requested to be transferred within a superframe. The data transfer unit transmits the stored data to the destination piconet.
