摘要: Systems for determining a movement amount detect a steering angle of a moving body on which a camera is mounted and extract matching inspection areas of a prescribed shape and size from frames captured by a camera. The systems rotate the inspection area of a second frame relative to the inspection area of a first frame, the rotation based on the detected steering angle. The systems execute pattern matching between the inspection areas and calculate positions of subject points that correspond to identical characteristic points in each frame. The systems, methods, and programs determine the movement amount based on a displacement amount between the calculated subject point positions.

摘要: A pixel signal having a k-th spectral characteristic at a pixel interpolation position occupied by a pixel signal having an h-th spectral characteristic is generated from a set of pixel signals arrayed in a two-dimensional plane, each having one of a plurality of spectral characteristics, by calculating a difference between low-frequency components, corresponding to a degree of correlation between pixel signals having the k-th and h-th spectral characteristics in a neighborhood of the pixel interpolation position (8r, 8g, 8b, 24k, 24h, 26), calculating a non-correlation value corresponding to a degree of non-correlation between the pixel signals having the k-th and h-th spectral characteristics in the neighborhood of the pixel interpolation position (7r, 7g, 7b, 23k, 23h, 25), and obtaining the pixel signal having the k-th spectral characteristic at the pixel interpolation position by using the calculated difference and the non-correlation value (27, 28, 29). Accurate interpolation can be performed despite various different correlation relationships between color component values.

摘要: An image capture apparatus which is compact and structurally simple and allows for prevention of a flicker noise, a method of capturing an image which allows for prevention of a flicker noise, and a mobile terminal using the apparatus and the method, are provided. In the image capture apparatus, a vertical cycle is adjusted so as to maintain 20 fps or 20/2m (m is an integer) fps, thereby to prevent a flicker noise in an image as obtained. To this end, in the image capture apparatus, a frequency of a horizontal transfer clock, a horizontal count level and a vertical line count level may be adjusted. Further, a fraction count is provided to adjust the length of one vertical cycle. Moreover, the image capture apparatus may be incorporated in a mobile terminal.

摘要: An image pickup apparatus captures an image from a subject without a focus-adjusting mechanism. An image pickup element has opposed first and second surfaces and an image region formed in the first surface. An optical system causes the image light from the subject to form an image on the image region. A supporting member has a first abutment portion that engages the optical system with nothing sandwiched therebetween, and a second abutment portion that engages the image pickup element with nothing sandwiched therebetween, thereby accurately positioning the optical system relative to the image pickup element. The second abutment portion abuts an area on the first surface except for the image region. A circuit board is fixed to the supporting member and electrically connected to the image pickup element. The circuit board has an opening formed therein such that the image region is exposed through the opening.

摘要: A flesh-tone area is detected based on color-difference and luminance signals constituting video signals, and luminance correction, color correction, and aperture correction are performed only on the flesh-tone area or a human face area identified in the flesh-tone area. The setting of a focus area or the setting of a photometric area for iris control, automatic gain control, automatic shutter control, etc., in a video camera, is performed with respect to the flesh-tone area or the human face area. Furthermore, based on the color-difference and luminance signals constituting the video signals, a background area is detected, and the video signals are divided into components representing a background area and components representing an object area. An image signal of a desired hue or a still image is superimposed on the detected background area, or special processing is performed on the video signals representing the object area other than the detected background area.

摘要: An intake valve or an exhaust valve is lifted through a swingable cam by the rotation of a rotatable cam formed in the cam shaft.
