摘要: Systems and methods for reduction of handover latencies in wireless communication systems are described herein. Some illustrative embodiments include a wireless mobile communication device that includes a wireless transceiver including a transmitter configured to transmit a first signal synchronized for reception by a first cellular node, and processing logic that couples to the wireless transceiver. Before the wireless transceiver receives a handover command the processing logic causes the transmitter to transmit a second signal for reception by a second cellular node to request allocation of an upload resource for communication with the second cellular node as part of an impending handover.

摘要: In a method for transmitting a contention free scheduling request in a cellular network, a set of N frequency opportunities is defined within a scheduling request slot. A set of R CAZAC root sequences is then defined per frequency opportunity. A set of C cyclic shifts is then defined per CAZAC root sequence. Within a given cell, a unique identification number is assigned to each user equipment (UE) that is in an uplink (UL) synchronized state. Each UL synchronized UE is mapped to a unique combination of one of the N frequency opportunities, one of the R CAZAC root sequences and one of the C cyclic shifts. A cyclic shifted preamble sequence for a given UE is transmitted as a scheduling request on the mapped frequency, CAZAC root sequence and cyclic shift opportunity, wherein the unique identification number of the given UE is encoded by the combination of the frequency opportunity, CAZAC root sequence opportunity, and amount of cyclic shift, such that up to all of the plurality of UE can transmit a schedule request (SR) in a non-contentious manner in one schedule request slot.

The base station signals a user equipment to produce a burst of a number of sounding reference signals having a predetermined burst duration. 摘要: Apparatus and method for optimizing interpolation in the despreader data-path of a wireless telecommunications network employing Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology. A base station dynamically evaluates its configuration to determine an interpolator location. The location of the interpolator in a despreader data-path is dynamically selected. A received signal is interpolated. The despread received signals are combined, and further processing is applied to the combined signal. To enhance system performance, the interpolator may, be located at least to perform chip-sample interpolation per antenna stream at chip rate, chip-sample interpolation per user at chip rate, or symbol-sample interpolation per user at sub-symbol rate.
