摘要: A novel technology to create 3D-printed objects that are extremely temperature resistant, mechanically robust, ultra-low-wear, and exhibit self-healing behavior. The material can be manufactured in a wide variety of process conditions and even used as a high-strength adhesive, enabling hybrid fabrication strategies. The gel precursor for this material is formed from two solids that react to create a high-performance polymer when heated. Unlike similar materials, these are solid at room temperature and form a printable gel when dissolved in a solvent. Addition of a secondary solvent to this gel modifies the solubility and creates a super-saturated fluid with tunable rheology. Once the gel material has been printed, it is allowed to dry via forced convection. This removes the solvent and leaves only the uncured polymer precursors. After the majority of the solvent has been removed, the material is heated to its cure temperature, at which point it melts, cures, and re-hardens. This process is then repeated for each subsequent layer deposited.

摘要: A manufacturing method for a heat shrinkable film includes: preparing a packaging material that includes film labels having a resin layer mainly contains thermoplastic resin, and a printed layer; recovering first and second recycled raw materials from the resin layer; and forming a resin film with a core layer including the recycled raw materials and a surface layer layered onto the core layer and includes thermoplastic resin. Recovering the recycled raw materials includes: forming, into individual pieces, the packaging material and/or the resin layer from which the printed layer has been removed; and separating the printed layer from the packaging material and/or pieces of the packaging material to obtain the resin layer from which the printed layer has been removed and/or pieces of the resin layer from which the printed layer has been removed. One of the recycled raw materials is polyester-based resin, and the other is polystyrene-based resin.

摘要: Physical foaming a footwear component with a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid is provided. The method include temperature conditioning a mold and then engaging the mold with a robot that conveys the mold to a press. At the press a gas counter pressure is applied to a cavity of the mold before injecting a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid into the cavity of the mold. The process continues with releasing the gas counter pressure from the cavity of the mold and then removing the footwear component from the cavity of the mold. The parameters of the method are configured for the formation of the footwear component in an automated manner.

摘要: The present invention is directed to certain biodegradable and/or compostable biobased particulate compositions for additive manufacturing, such as those including a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) powder, wherein the particulate composition and/or the PHA powder possesses (a) a free bulk density, as determined by ASTM D1895-96, of greater than 0.30 g/mL, and (b) a sinterability region of greater than 15 degrees Celsius. Also, the invention is directed to certain methods of manufacturing such biodegradable and/or compostable biobased particulate compositions useful as powdered build material for additive manufacturing processes. In addition, the present invention is directed to additive manufacturing processes utilizing the biodegradable and/or compostable biobased particulate compositions elsewhere described, along with the articles printed therefrom.

The composition facilitates the formation of extrusion based elastomeric additive manufactured articles.

摘要: An apparatus for vacuumizing and sealing a package includes a plurality of platens and vacuum chambers, each chamber adapted to mate with a dedicated one of the platens; a conveying system for conveying the platens and chambers along a generally angular path having a single axis of rotation; an automated loading assembly having a linear component and configured to load a package onto each of the platens; an automated unloading assembly having a linear portion and configured to unload a vacuumized, sealed package from each loaded platen onto an outfeed conveyor; and a vacuumizing/sealing system configured to cause relative movement of each chamber/platen pair, along a portion of the angular path, to form therebetween an air-tight enclosure accommodating the package and effect vacuumization and sealing of the package.

More particularly, provided is a method of manufacturing a cell spheroid, the method including extruding a first bioink including an alginate; extruding a second bioink including cells into the extruded first bioink; adding a calcium chloride (CaCl2) solution to the alginate included in the first bioink; and dissolving the second bioink, present in the first bioink, in a cell culture medium to form a cell spheroid from the cells.
