摘要: A liquid discharge device includes a liquid discharge head including a plurality of liquid chambers respectively communicating with a plurality of nozzles and circulating liquid therethrough. Each liquid chamber is provided with a pressure generator for discharging the liquid from a corresponding nozzle. The liquid discharge device further includes a waveform data memory to store drive waveform data including discharge drive waveform data for discharging the liquid according to image data and micro-vibration drive waveform data for causing a micro vibration of a meniscus of the liquid discharge head. The liquid discharge device further includes circuitry configured to generate a drive waveform based on the drive waveform data; apply, to the pressure generator, a discharge drive waveform based on the discharge drive waveform data, in a printing area; and apply, to the pressure generator, a micro-vibration drive waveform based on the micro-vibration drive waveform data, in a non-print area.

摘要: An ink discharge device is provided including an ink, an ink discharge head, and a circulator. The ink discharge head includes a nozzle, an individual liquid chamber communicated with the nozzle, a flow-in channel, and a flow-out channel. The circulator circulates the ink by letting the ink flow into the individual liquid chamber via the flow-in channel and flow out from the individual liquid chamber via the flow-out channel. A flow rate of the circulated ink is 0.10 to 1.50 times a maximum dischargeable rate of the ink discharge head. A dynamic surface tension A of the ink at 25° C. is 34.0 mN/m or less when measured by a maximum bubble pressure method at a surface lifetime of 15 msec, and the dynamic surface tension A and a static surface tension B of the ink at 25° C. satisfy the following relation: 10.0(%)≤[(A−B)/(A+B)]×100≤19.0(%).

摘要: An ink discharge device including an ink, an ink discharge head, and a negative pressure generator is provided. The ink comprises water, a colorant, an organic solvent X having a solubility parameter of from 8.9 to 12.0 and comprising no glycol ether compound, and a copolymer comprising a structural unit represented by the following formula (1): where R1 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group and Y represents an alkylene group having 2 to 18 carbon atoms. The ink discharge head includes a nozzle to discharge the ink, a plurality of individual liquid chambers in communication with the nozzle, a flow-in channel to let the ink flow into the individual liquid chambers, and a flow-out channel to let the ink flow out from the individual liquid chambers. The negative pressure generator is configured to generate a negative pressure that lets the ink flow out from the individual liquid chambers.

The end is opposed to a portion of the damper area and has a relief at a side facing the damper area to permit deformation of the damper area.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a liquid ejecting head including a nozzle that ejects a droplet and a pressure producing unit that produces pressure to pressurize a pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle; and a head drive controlling unit that provides a driving signal to the pressure producing unit. The head drive controlling unit outputs the driving signal including at least a first driving pulse and a second driving pulse to eject droplets and a residual vibration suppressing pulse to suppress residual vibration in the pressure chamber without ejecting a droplet. The residual vibration suppressing pulse is output at such a timing that the residual vibration suppressing pulse has an opposite phase to a composite vibration Vab that is formed by superposition of a meniscus vibration Va generated by droplet ejection with the first driving pulse and a meniscus vibration Vb generated by droplet ejection with the second driving pulse.
