Abstract:
The device type of a user computing device may be used to optimize network communication sessions. In one implementation, an indication of the device type of the user computing device may be received and a communication profile for the user computing device may be determined. The communication profile may be associated with values for a number of parameters relating to one or more communication protocols used to implement communication sessions with the user computing device. One or more network elements, that are involved in the communication sessions with the user computing device, may be provisioned, to cause the one or more network elements to implement the communication protocols, for the user computing device, using the values for the parameters relating to the one or more communication protocols.
Abstract:
A server device may receive content that was transmitted using a broadcast technique; track a quantity of user devices that have entered a particular area after the content has been received by the server device; determine, based on the tracking, that the quantity of user devices meets or exceeds a threshold quantity; and redistributing, by the server device and based on the determining, the content to one or more of the user devices that have entered the particular area after the content has been received by the server device.
Abstract:
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide to store packet data network (PDN) connection data pertaining to a user equipment connected to a network; store locale-to-packet data network gateway (PGW) data, wherein the locale-to-PGW data includes mappings between locales and PGWs to be used when the user equipment is located in the locales; receive a locale update pertaining to the user equipment; query the locale-to-PGW data in response to the locale update; determine, based on a result of the query, whether the user equipment is to be re-anchored to a different PGW than a PGW to which the user equipment is currently anchored; invoke a re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is to be re-anchored to the different PGW; and omit to invoke the re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is not to be re-anchored.

Abstract:
A device is configured to store target location information indicating an acceptable signal strength at a target location. The device may receive a signal emitted from a base station. The signal may be received at the target location. The device may measure the signal strength of the signal at the target location. The device may transmit a signal strength message including information based on the signal strength. The signal strength message may cause the base station to adjust a power with which signals are emitted from the base station such that the signals satisfy the acceptable signal strength at the target location.
Abstract:
A device is configured to receive an authentication credential from a user device, and is configured to authenticate the user device based on the authentication credential. The device is configured to transmit, based on authenticating the user device, a first application for establishing a tunnel that permits the user device to access a second application using an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) network architecture. The device is configured to establish, based on the first application, a tunnel for transferring IMS traffic to or from the user device, and is configured to transfer the IMS traffic to or from the user device, using the tunnel, where transferring the IMS traffic permits the user device to access the second application.

Abstract:
A device may receive a request to update a data structure with first communication information from multiple applications. The first communication information may identify communications made, by a particular user, using the applications, and the applications may be associated with different modes of communication. The device may request the first communication information from devices storing the first communication information, may receive the first communication information, and may store the first communication information in the data structure. The device may receive criteria identifying requested communications, and may search the data structure to determine second communication information. The second communication information may identify the requested communications that satisfy the criteria. The device may provide the second communication information to a user device associated with the particular user.
Abstract:
A server device may be configured to receive information regarding calls that have been placed; detect, based on the information regarding the calls that have been placed, an occurrence of an event; determine a set of base stations that are associated with the event; and broadcast, via the set of base stations, a message regarding the event.
Abstract:
State information relating to an operational state of a network may be provided to services, such as services provided by application servers, and used to enhance the providing of the services to devices. In one implementation, the state information may be received and may include: (1) information relating to the operational state of a particular portion of a network; or (2) information relating to the operational state of the network as relevant to a particular mobile device connected to the network. A request for the state information may be received from an application server that provides services based on the state information. The request may include an identification of the particular portion of the network or an identification of the particular mobile device. The requested state information may be provided to the application server.
