    Abstract: A method for improving efficiency of a training program begins with a processor monitoring and adapting execution of a training exercise of the training program. The processor determines a training program effectiveness measure including determining trainee skill improvement demonstrated during the training exercise, and monitoring and determining correctness and timeliness of trainee actions during the training exercise. The processor then determines a training program cost measure by determining a first monetary cost for the execution of the at least one training exercise, determining a second monetary cost associated with trainee manhours for the training exercise, and generating the training program cost measure based on the first and second monetary costs. The processor then computes a ratio of the training program effectiveness measure to the training program cost measure.

    Abstract: In general, this disclosure describes media stream transmission techniques for a computing device. The computing device may capture an image of a local background environment. The computing device may record a first media stream that includes at least a portion of the image of the background environment and at least one movement of at least one object through the background environment. The computing device may remove the image of the background environment from the first media stream to create a second media stream that includes the movement of the object without the image of the background environment. The computing device may determine a bandwidth of a network over which the second media stream will be transmitted and perform further alterations to the second media stream if the current bandwidth is less than a bandwidth threshold level in order to reduce the bandwidth needed to transmit the second media stream.

    Abstract: An automatic, autonomous, and aircraft-centric interference advisory method is executed entirely on a first aircraft operating on a movement area of a runway, the movement are including ramps, taxiways, and runways. The method includes a processor onboard the first aircraft computing a first movement projection for the first aircraft using first aircraft data received at the first aircraft; the processor computing additional second movement projections for multiple second aircraft operating on the movement area of the airport using second data regarding each of the multiple second aircraft; the processor detecting a threat to the first aircraft on approach to a defined intersection of the movement area from any of the multiple second aircraft based on a corresponding second movement projection within a configurable time limit of entry into the defined intersection by the first aircraft; and providing on the first aircraft, a threat advisory for a detected threat.

    Abstract: A plurality of interconnected distributed networks each having a plurality of distributed network nodes provide a decentralized access gateway to multiple, diverse types of databases. Each distributed network may be a structured distributed network having at least two tiers of nodes comprising validator nodes that may implement gossip protocols to cooperatively validate one or more database operations and generate new blocks and host nodes that may receive the new block and update a corresponding local copy. Each distributed network may correspond to different attributes and may be interconnected to increase query efficiency.     Abstract: An example technique includes initializing, by an obfuscation computing system, communications with nodes in a distributed computing platform. The nodes include compute nodes that provide resources in the distributed computing platform and a controller node that performs resource management of the resources. The obfuscation computing system serves as an intermediary between the controller node and the compute nodes. The technique further includes outputting an interactive user interface (UI) providing a selection between a first privilege level and a second privilege level, and performing one of: based on the selection being for the first privilege level, a first obfuscation mechanism for the distributed computing platform to obfuscate digital traffic between a user computing system and the nodes, or based on the selection being for the second privilege level, a second obfuscation mechanism for the distributed computing platform to obfuscate digital traffic between the user computing system and the nodes.

    Abstract: A method for minimizing aircraft collisions, comprising includes detecting a flight of an unmanned aerial system (UAS) in a restricted area and determining a location of a radio frequency (RF) emitter in communication with the UAS. The method includes, at each of a plurality of RF sensors of a network of wireless RF sensors, receiving RF emissions within an RF band pertaining to UAS control, processing the received RF emissions, and transmitting data derived from the processed RF emissions. The method further includes at a designated one of the plurality of RF sensors, receiving the transmitted data from the RF sensors, a processor computing, using the transmitted data received from the RF sensors, a location estimate for the RF emitter and to predict the UAS is flying, and based on the prediction, the processor generating an aircraft collision alert.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a cloud data synchronization system enabling an user operating a mobile client device to download mission-specific data sets from a fixed cloud-based server system to a database of the mobile client device, and then use the downloaded data sets independently on the mobile client device when the mobile client device is disconnected from a network connecting to the fixed cloud-based server system. When connectivity to the fixed cloud-based server system is re-established by the mobile client device in an intermittent and bandwidth-limited communication network environment, the fixed cloud-based server system may provide bi-directional data synchronization between records of the fixed cloud-based server system and the mobile client device to update the data sets on the fixed cloud-based server system and the mobile client device while operating in the intermittent and bandwidth-limited communication network environment.
