Abstract: Multidirectional vent limiting devices for use with fluid regulators are described. In some examples, a vent limiting device includes a housing having an interior surface, a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a first fluid passageway in fluid communication with and located between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The interior surface includes a first sealing surface that defines a portion of the first fluid passageway. In some examples, the vent limiting device further includes a stem and a poppet. In some examples, the stem is rigidly coupled to the interior surface of the housing. In some examples, the poppet includes a second sealing surface that defines a portion of the first fluid passageway, and a radial bore that defines a second fluid passageway in fluid communication with and located between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. In some examples, the poppet is slidable along the stem between an open position and a closed position. In some examples, the second sealing surface contacts the first sealing surface when the poppet is in the closed position to close off the first fluid passageway.

Abstract: A valve plug adapted for sealing engagement with a seat ring. The valve plug includes a cylindrical body with an annular flange having a groove. A pair of bores is disposed in the body, each bore having a first diameter, a first end, and a second end disposed within the body. Each bore is also adapted to receive a fastener to couple the valve plug to a mounting portion, and a recess is disposed at the second end of the bore, forming a stepped portion. The recess is adapted to receive at least one of a portion of a retainer or a portion of the fastener. A sealing disk is disposed within the groove of the annular flange and is one of a machined sealing disk or a molded sealing disk.

Abstract: An actuator assembly for use with a shut-off valve in a transport or storage system. The assembly is configured to be operatively coupled to a stem of the valve for controlling fluid flow therethrough. The assembly includes a mounting bracket coupled to the bonnet, a mounting sleeve coupled to the stem and movable relative to the mounting bracket, and an actuator having a body and an inlet formed in the body. The body is defined by a first body portion coupled to the mounting bracket and a second body portion coupled to the mounting sleeve and movable relative to the first body portion to expand or contract the body. The inlet is adapted to receive pressurized fluid; the body expands or contracts responsive to the pressurized fluid, and responsive to the expansion or contraction of the body, the mounting sleeve moves relative to the mounting bracket, thereby moving the stem.

Abstract: A control member for use in a fluid control device is disclosed. The control member may include a through-bore for receiving a valve stem and one or more counter-bores aligned with the through-bore. One of the counter-bores may receive a connection member, such as a retaining nut, for connecting the control member to the valve stem. Accordingly, the connection member may be concealed within the control member and thus prevented from interfering with the fluid flow around the control member. Also disclosed is a fluid control device incorporating the control member and a method of assembling a fluid control device incorporating the control member.

Abstract: A valve stem and valve core assembly and a valve including a valve stem and valve core assembly. The valve stem and valve core assembly includes a valve stem and a valve core that sleeves the valve stem. The assembly includes an adjusting device arranged on the valve stem, and an elastic element arranged between the adjusting device and the valve core. A clearance exists between the valve core, the valve stem, and the adjusting device, so that the valve core can move relative to the valve stem, such that the valve can have a good closing performance.

Abstract: A shut-off valve for use in a fluid transport or storage system includes a body defining an inlet port, an outlet port, and a fluid flow passageway extending between the inlet port and the outlet port, a seat arranged in the body adjacent the outlet port, a shaft at least partially disposed in the body, and a control assembly disposed in the body and operatively coupled to the shaft. The control assembly is movable between a closed position, in which a portion of the control assembly sealingly engages the seat to seal the outlet port, and an open position, in which the control assembly is spaced away from the outlet port and substantially outside of the fluid flow passageway, such that the control assembly provides minimal flow-restriction to fluid flowing through the fluid flow passageway.

Abstract: An emergency shut-off valve includes a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, a valve port between the inlet and the outlet, and an aperture. A valve assembly is positioned partially within the valve body and extends through the aperture. An actuator assembly is operatively coupled to the valve assembly to move the valve assembly between an open position and a closed position and includes a poppet and a rotatable shaft. The poppet is disposed within the valve body and is moveable between an open position that allows the flow of fluid through the valve body and a closed position that prevents the flow of fluid through the valve body. The shaft is coupled to the poppet and has a retaining member positioned within a slot in an arm of the poppet to prevent the poppet from being removed from the shaft.
