摘要: A grease composition for constant velocity joints comprising: (a) a base oil; (b) a diurea thickener of the formula (1):R.sup.1 NH--CO--NH--C.sub.6 H.sub.4 -p-CH.sub.2 --C.sub.6 H.sub.4 -p-NH--CO--NHR.sup.2wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be the same or different and represent aryl groups having 6 or 7 carbon atoms or cyclohexyl groups; (c) a molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate; (d) molybdenum disulfide; (e) at least one extreme pressure agent selected from the group consisting of zinc dithiophosphates, and sulfur-nitrogen extreme pressure agents; and (f) a phosphorus-free sulfur extreme pressure agent. The grease composition has low coefficient of friction, good performance for reducing induced thrust and high durability.

摘要: A lubricant composition comprising from 0.1 to 10% by weight of a phosphate glass, characterized in that said phosphate glass comprises from 45 to 75 mole % of P.sub.2 O.sub.5, from 10 to 35 mole % of M.sub.2 O (M represents alkaline metals) and from 0 to 45 mole % of B.sub.2 O.sub.3. Phosphate glasses are in the form of powder with white to ash-colored appearance, and do not cause dirt of working surroundings. Phosphate glasses are less expensive than solid lubricants which are conventionally used, and also excellent load carrying capacity can be attained by adding a small amount of phosphate glass to a lubricant composition. Accordingly, the lubricant composition of the present invention shows better load carrying capacity than a conventional lubricant composition.

摘要: A grease composition for constant velocity joints which consists essentially of: (a) a base oil; (b) an urea thickener; (c) molybdenum disulfide; and (d) a metal salt or an overbasic metal salt selected from the group consisting of metal salts or overbasic metal salts of oxidized waxes, petroleum sulfonates, alkyl aryl sulfonates, salicylate, and phenates. In addition to (a) to (d), it may further contain, (e) an extreme pressure agent selected from the group consisting of a metal-free sulfur-phosphorus extreme pressure agent and molybdenum dithiophosphate, or (f) molybdenum dithiocarbamate. The grease composition exhibits excellent wear-resistance and pitting-inhibitory effect.

摘要: A novel lubricant composition is disclosed, which contains not less than 0.1% by weight of at least one calcium ferrite having the following general formula:Ca.sub.x Fe.sub.y O.sub.x+(3/2)ywherein x is 1 or 2 and y is 2 or 4, provided that y is 2 or 4 when x is 1, and y is 2 when x is 2. The calcium ferrites may be monocalcium ferrite, dicalcium ferrite or hemicalcium ferrite, produced by mixing iron oxide and a calcium compound in a molar ratio of 1:0.5 to 1:2 and fusing them by heating at a temperature of 1200.degree.-1400.degree. C. The resultant material contains not more than 5% by weight of the whole, of ferric oxide, silica and alumina as impurities. The calcium ferrites have a maximum particle size of 100.mu., preferably 0.15.mu.. They can be used as such for lubricant purposes, or can be incorporated in a lubricating oil or grease, such as a mineral oil, in an amount more than 0.1% by weight and preferably more than 1% by weight.

摘要: The invention provides a grease composition for a speed reducer part of an on-vehicle electric component, the grease composition containing a base oil and a thickener, wherein the base oil is poly-α-olefin or a mixed oil of poly-α-olefin and mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity of 4 to 19 mm2/s at 100° C. and a pour point of −30° C. or lower, the thickener is a mixture of a diurea compound expressed by formula (1) and a diurea compound expressed by formula (2) R1—NHCONH—R2—NHCONH—R1 (1) R3—NHCONH—R2—NHCONH—R3 (2) wherein R1 is a straight-chain alkyl group having 8 or 18 carbon atoms, R2 is a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms, and R3 is an aryl group having 6 to 7 carbon atoms, and a penetration of the grease composition is 220 to 280.

摘要: An inspection device (1) includes a light source (10) projecting excitation light to an inner surface of a container (20); an imager (11) capturing a fluorescence image of fluorescence emitted from a foreign substance in response to the excitation light projected; and a detector (13) detecting the foreign substance adhering to the inner surface of the container from the fluorescence image captured by the imager. The foreign substance contains a material emitting fluorescence in response to the excitation light projected to the material. The detector includes a calculator (14) calculating an average brightness value in an inspection target region, and an adjuster (15) adjusting an image-capturing condition where the fluorescence image is captured such that the average brightness value falls within a preset range.
