Abstract: A coil spring processing device includes an end positioning device, shot peening device, and controller. The end positioning device positions ends of a coil spring. The shot peening device includes a turntable mechanism, pressure mechanism, rotation mechanism which rotates the coil spring, and projection mechanism which projects shots. Holding mechanisms each include a lower shifting prevention jig and an upper shifting prevention jig. The controller stops a first holding mechanism and a second holding mechanism in rotation stop positions corresponding to end turn portions of the coil spring.

Abstract: A stabilizer link includes a support bar and a ball joint. The ball joint includes a ball stud having a ball portion and a stud portion. The stabilizer has two end portions, each of which includes an attachment portion for joining the stabilizer link. The attachment portion has a through hole, through which an elastic member provided at the stud portion is attached to the attachment portion. The elastic member includes a body portion and tab portions. The stud portion is joined to the attachment portion through the elastic member in such a manner that while the elastic member is attached to the through hole, the body portion abuts on an inner circumferential wall portion of the through hole and the tab portions are located to cover circumferential edge portions of the through hole.

Abstract: A compression coil spring having high durability can be provided by using an inexpensive wire material. The present invention provides a compression coil spring formed by using a steel wire material, the steel wire material made of C: 0.45 to 0.85 mass %, Si: 0.15 to 2.5 mass %, Mn: 0.3 to 1.0 mass %, Fe and inevitable impurities as a remainder, and a circle-equivalent diameter of 1.5 to 9.0 mm, wherein hardness of a freely selected cross-section of the wire material is 570 to 700 HV, and at an inner diameter side of the coil spring, unloaded compressive residual stress at a depth of 0.2 mm from a surface in an approximate maximal main stress direction in a case in which compressive load is loaded on the spring is 200 MPa or more, and unloaded compressive residual stress at a depth of 0.4 mm from surface is 100 MPa or more.

Abstract: A stabilizer including: a main body for generating an elastic restoring force; and connecting portions formed on both ends of the main body and respectively connected to left and right suspension devices. Hardness of the connecting portions is lower than that of the main body. A method for manufacturing the stabilizer includes, in order, an entire body heat treatment process for heat treating an entire stabilizer and increasing hardness of the entire stabilizer, and a connecting portion softening process for heating the connecting portions and reducing the hardness of the connecting portions. The method for manufacturing the stabilizer thereby increases hardness of the main body and reduces the hardness of the connecting portions lower than that of the main body.
