摘要： Volatile material dispensers are disclosed that include a substrate having a first wall portion with a first grasping portion and a second wall portion with a second grasping portion. The first wall portion and the second wall portion are substantially coplanar in a first state. The volatile material dispensers may further include at least one hinge joining the first wall portion and the second wall portion along a central axis and an insect control active. At least one of the first wall portion and the second wall portion is moveable about the central axis to form a configuration in which the first and the second wall portions are substantially not coplanar in a second state. The first grasping portion and the second grasping portion are coaxial with the central axis in the first state and the second state.

摘要： A deterrent device for delivering an electric shock to an animal, pest or bird to be deterred, having the typical components of a non-conductive base to which the electrically conductive elements are attached. Instead of the typically-used copper wire, however, the braided elements comprise smaller strands of a conductive material, such as copper, aluminum or stainless steel wire, is used and is mechanically attached to the non-conductive base. The braided elements can be mechanically attached using a simple sewing operation in which the braid is sewn to the base. Because of the mechanical attachment and the ability of the braided elements to flex in both contraction and extension, the device of this invention can be used in tight corners and other contorted locations without having the wires of the typical prior art device pull free of the base.

摘要： An animal deterrence system projects polarised light in order to deter animals. The light may be plane polarised light and the polarisation may be varied over time. The system is particularly suited to deterrence of birds, but may also find application in deterrence of other animals sensitive to polarisation of light, such as bees and wasps.
