摘要: The invention concerns a pest management system especially suited for the protection of crops. The pest management system can identify a particular pest species and use species-specific remedies to deter invasion of a crop or orchard area or to entice the pest species away from the crop or orchard area. In some embodiments, a deterrent system is used in conjunction with an enticement system. Part of the basis of the invention is the ability to communicate with a pest species in order to influence its behaviour.

摘要: This disclosure provides a method of detecting and deterring a target animal from a target area. A target area is positioned within the field of vision of a video camera connected to a computer processing system. An animal identification computer program using convolution neural networks and deep learning computer programs and camera images rapidly detects a target animal. The animal identification computer program is trained to identify target animals accurately using a learning algorithm and related machine learning technology. The time to deploy a deterrent against a target animal from the instant of detection is 2 seconds or less so that little or no time is available to the target animal to damage the target area.

摘要: A bird protection glass includes a glass pane with a periodically repeating dot pattern, the reflection properties of which differ from those of the glass pane. In order to be effective, known bird protection glass had to be printed relatively densely, which compromised the visual appearance and transparency. The task of designing a bird protection glass so that it is highly effective, on the one hand, and only slightly compromises the transparent effect of the glass, on the other, is realized in that a maximum of 5% of the surface of glass pane is covered with the dot pattern.
