摘要: The present invention relates to a method for promoting growth of plants. Particularly, the method of the present invention features overexpression of a calcineurin B-like (CBL) interacting protein kinase15 (CIPK15) having an isoleucine (Ile) residue at position 48 (e.g. a CIPK15 from rice) in plants which can promote growth of the plants. The present invention also relates to a recombinant construct comprising a nucleic acid encoding the CIPK15 operably linked to a promoter. The present invention further relates to a transgenic plant overexpressing the CIPK15 exhibiting improved growth compared to a non-transgenic plant counterpart.

摘要: The invention relates to methods of producing a plant with delayed senescence comprising inducing at least one nucleotide deletion, insertion or substitution into at least one copy of a gene encoding deoxyhypusine synthase (DHS) in the plant, wherein the nucleotide deletion, insertion or substitution decreases the activity of DHS encoded by the gene in the plant. The invention also relates to plants produced by the methods and progeny thereof.

摘要: A rice white leaf and panicle gene wlp3 is provided. The cDNA sequence of the white leaf and panicle gene wlp3 is shown in SEQ ID NO: 1, and the encoded amino acid sequence of the protein is shown in SEQ ID NO: 2. The rice white leaf and panicle gene wlp3 is applied to rice stress resistance and yield increase. The white leaf and panicle gene wlp3 is configured to improve cold tolerance of plants, enhance photosynthetic rate, increase plant height, leaf albinism at seedling stage, panicle albinism at heading stage, and increase panicle length at low temperature. The present disclosure obtains the rice white leaf and panicle gene wlp3 through screening and mutagenesis, which is related to the stress resistance and chlorophyll synthesis of rice. Therefore, the present disclosure provides a foundation for rice breeding.

摘要: This disclosure provides recombinant DNA constructs and transgenic plants having enhanced traits such as increased yield, increased nitrogen use efficiency, and enhanced drought tolerance or water use efficiency. Transgenic plants may include field crops as well as plant propagules and progeny of such transgenic plants. Methods of making and using such transgenic plants are also provided. This disclosure also provides methods of producing seed from such transgenic plants, growing such seed, and selecting progeny plants with enhanced traits. Also disclosed are transgenic plants with altered phenotypes which are useful for screening and selecting transgenic events for the desired enhanced trait.
