摘要： The present invention relates to a dental cleaning aid. The aid includes a threader (or leader) including a monofilament. A follower is provided for following the threader and the follower is at least in part wider than the monofilament. Preferably, the aid includes a loop or fold fastening arrangement by which the threader and follower are fastened together. In one embodiment, the arrangement includes a fold or loop of the follower engaged with a fold or loop of the threader.

摘要： A dental floss apparatus for cleaning the gaps between adjacent teeth which is comprised of a pair of handles that are configured for engagement with the fingers with strands of flossing substrate extending therebetween. The flossing substrates are spaced from each other, running substantially parallel and extending within an opening formed between the ends of the handles, with tension maintained by the user through employment of the handles. A dissolvable substrate is positioned within this opening through an engagement with one or both of the handles or the flossing substrate, and upon contact with the surface of the teeth, dissolves, and deposits a residue on the surface of the teeth and the surrounding area of the mouth. The dissolvable substrate may be formed of two substrate pieces with a central gap between them defining a means for targeting insertion of the substrate between adjacent teeth and may be colorized or fluorescent, and have an additive material such as mouthwash, breath freshener, cooling agent, or flavor.

摘要： An abrading dental floss is characterized by dental floss formed of a fiber or fibrous material having a dental abrasive on at least a portion thereof suitable for polishing, sanding and/or finishing dental restorative material such as dental resin. The fiber is preferably a synthetic material. The dental abrading material is impregnated into or provided onto the dental floss. In one form, the dental abrading floss has an abrading section situated between lengths of the dental floss. The abrading polishing section may be formed of an alternating pattern of non-abrasive portions and abrasive portions along a length of the floss. The abrasive portions may be of a single grit or texture of the dental abrasive or may be of different grits of the dental abrasive. In another form, the dental abrading floss has a single grit of a dental abrasive along its entire length. In yet another form, the dental abrading floss comprises a plastic sheet of having a dental abrasive thereon or therein situated between lengths of the dental floss. The dental abrasive may be of a single grit or different grits of the dental abrasive. For different grits of the dental abrasive, it is preferred, but not necessary, that they gradually change in grit size.
