摘要： A swing diagnosing device utilizes a recording plate having an indicating surface fitted to the front surface of a supporting plate attached to a base plate, and a rotary ball is borne by a cover fixed to the base plate. A shaft pipe projecting out of an arm is passed through this rotary ball, a supporting metal piece fixing the grip end of a golf club is attached to the lower end part of the arm, and a recording means is fitted to the tip of the shaft pipe at the upper end so that as the arm is operatively rotated with the golf swing the locus of the swing is recorded.

摘要： Golfer training apparatus wherein a base is adapted to be strapped to the user at a position in the vicinity of where he positions his hands when addressing the ball. An elongated handle guide has one end secured to the base by a ball and socket joint, such guide being flexible and resilient with an elongated tubular member that simulates a golf club handle being slidable on the guide so that the user's hands are subjected to forces due to the coaction of the handle on the flexible and resilient handle guide that can be readily learned to correspond to a proper back swing and follow through, while virtually preventing the golfer from rearing up. The position of the ball and socket joint is adjustable and the same can be readily disassembled.

摘要： A golf swing training and exercising device comprises a vertical tubular member having a telescopic complementary tubular member for adjusting the height of the device, a tubular swing arm having another tubular member and a complementary member insertable therein to adjust the length of a swing arm, electrical signaling apparatus comprising a plurality of spaced switches which are in closed position when in contact with a cam housed on the swing arm. Certain signals are actuated by forward and backward movement of a grip, and other signals are actuated by rotary movement of the grip. Some signals indicate when a proper address, swing and follow through are made. A certain different set of signals indicate when a "fat" or "light" hit is made during a swing. The device, optionally, has a head restraining device which has an electrical switch that is adjustable for an allowable degree of head movement before it is closed to activate a signal indicating excessive head movement. The training and exercising device can be used with or without a golf club and with or without a golf ball or a practice substitute for a golf ball. A variable tension can be applied on a braking system to exercise and improve the strength of muscles employed during the swing. The device may also include a weight shift signal element wherein electrical switches are operated upon predetermined and timely weight shift from one foot to the other.

摘要： An unattached swing teaching apparatus for guiding a golf club or other rod-like object in a predefined arcuate path. A rotating device is rotatably attached to and supported by a non-rotating support member. The rotating device has at least one axle to which a pair of guide rods are attached. Dual axles may be incorporated in conjunction with gearing, clutching and control apparatus to cause rotation to occur about either or both axles as the club is swung through selected portions of the predefined arcuate path. In an initial position, one guide rod extends downward in a position for being contacted by the club shaft. As the backswing commences, the club shaft pushes against the downwardly extending guide rod causing one or more of the axles to rotate during the selected portions of the arcuate swing path. The club will remain in the predefined arcuate path if the golfer keeps the club shaft bearing on the guide rod in a manner which rotates the axle or axles. In a second embodiment, the guide rod may be a single L-shaped member. The vertical and horizontal leg portions of the L-shaped member are sequentially engaged by an extension member attached to the golf club shaft. The horizontal leg portion passes under a platform on which the golfer stands. In either embodiment, the golfer's head may be restrained by a head engaging device, and resistance to the rotating guide rods may be provided.

摘要： A putting/chipping training apparatus which allows a trainee to develop an effective putting/chipping stroke through the use of a motion-generating device that, using the trainee's selected golf club, e.g. putter, repeatedly replicates the trainee's most comfortable swing, or one modified to incorporate well-accepted sound fundamentals or one patterned thereafter the swing path of a golf professional. The device achieves this desired end by effecting rotational movement on two parallel axes, simultaneously with linear movement, to move the club through the swing path, with the trainee's hands gently holding the grip. The method may be individualized by first tracking the trainee's desired stroke to create an average swing path for one stroke which is entered into a CPU databank and can then be precisely replicated.
