Abstract:
The present invention relates to a transport device for transporting to-be-processed elements through a high-temperature zone and a corresponding method. The transport device operates according to the walking beam principle, with thin, elongated carrier elements made of a flexible material, which are maintained under tensile stress along the longitudinal axis of the carrier elements, being provided instead of conventional walking beams. The proposed transport device permits low contamination transport of the elements through a high-temperature zone and improved utilization of energy as well as the ability to use a RTP process.
Abstract:
A method for assembling a conveyor belt and a conveyor belt is provided, the conveyor belt including a plurality of elongated rods, a plurality of slide-in overlay elements, and a plurality of retaining overlay elements having a vertical opening to allow vertical insertion of the retaining overlay element on to an elongated rod. In one embodiment, the vertical opening includes a retainer such as a clip that resists removal of the retaining overlay element from the elongated rod. In another embodiment, the slide-in overlay element includes a lock mechanism which locks the retaining overlay element with the slide-in overlay element to resist removal of the retaining overlay element. The lock mechanism preferably includes a lock protrusion on the slide-in overlay element, and an interlock protrusion provided on the retaining overlay element offset relative to one another to allow interlocking of the lock protrusion with the interlock protrusion.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a conveyor comprises identical carriages and apparatus for connecting the carriages end-to-end. The carriages each include first wheel pairs supported for a rotation about spaced apart parallel axes and a second wheel pair supported for rotation about a perpendicular axis. The first and second wheel pairs are rotatably supported by self-lubricated bearings. The connection apparatus may comprise either connection rods or a wire rope. In another embodiment, the conveyor comprises identical links each including first and second link portions. The link portions are pivotally interconnected by a first connecting pin which also supports a first pair of wheels. Adjacent links are interconnected by a second connecting pin which also supports a second wheel pair. The first and second wheel pairs are rotatably supported by self-lubricated bearings.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an installation for filling and packaging hollow bodies (12) comprising stations (20, 22, 24, 26) for filling and packaging said bodies and a device for transferring the latter between an intake station (18) for the bodies in the transfer device, the filling and packaging stations, and an outlet station (19) for the filled and packaged bodies, the transfer device comprising a motorised endless conveyor (16) including an outgoing side (32) opposite which are arranged the filling and conditioning stations and the outlet station (19), and a return side (34). The return side (34) extends above the outgoing side (32). The invention is useful in particular for filling and packaging bottles or flasks.
Abstract:
There is provided a conveyor chain for use in a three-dimensional conveyor line, in which a plurality of chain links S each with a top plate provided on a link body thereof is connected endlessly to each other by shaft pins D for three-dimensional conveyance of products, a projecting head portion 1 of a rearward one of two adjacent chain links S is disposed between a pair of leg portions 2 of a frontward adjacent link S, a shaft pin D is penetrated through the projecting head portion 1 so that the rearward chain link S can freely be pivoted vertically and horizontally about the shaft pin D, the top plate includes a front plate portion B1 and rear plate portion A2, each portions formed defining their boundary a semicircular line whose center is laid nearly at the center of the projecting head portion 1, the rear plate portion A2 is integral with the rear upper portion of the link body while the front plate portion B1 is disposed on the front upper portion of the link body, a bearing block is received in a bearing space 5, the bearing block is engaged on the shaft pin D so that the rear plate portion A2 can be pivoted horizontally in relation to the front plate portion B1. Since there takes place no gap between the front edge of the rear plate portion and rear edge of the front plate portion, the conveyor chain thus constructed can convey products more stably without thrust-up, stalling or overturn of them.
Abstract:
Conveyor system accessories are disclosed, which provide an inexpensive way to stage, stockpile and/or sort work pieces and provides easy entry to and exit from a main conveyor. In particular, a trolley or trolleys that carry work pieces ride on the conveyor rail above the chain or intermesh with the chain on the inside of the track. These accessories are used with single track continuous conveyor systems, which greatly enhances the productivity of the single track system by permitting work pieces to be taken off-line without taking the work piece off a load pendant.
Abstract:
The passage of a container along a conveyor is lubricated by applying to the container or conveyor a lubricating coating that is thermally cured at less than 200null C. or radiation-cured. The mixture can be applied in relatively low amounts and with relatively low or no water content, to provide thin, substantially non-dripping, renewable lubricating films. In contrast to dilute aqueous lubricants, the lubricants of the invention provide dry lubrication of the conveyors and containers, a cleaner conveyor line and reduced lubricant usage, thereby reducing waste, cleanup and disposal problems.
Abstract:
An endless roller chain conveyor supports pallets, which independently travel along the horizontal runs of the conveyor, while the roller chain runs continuously. The pallets are attached in a vertical position and may be stopped and held anywhere along the conveyor using mechanically driven stop assemblies located at required load, unload, holdback, or workstation positions assigned to the particular application. The carriers or pallets are driven on the roller chain by way of a guided sprocket, adjustable clutch, alignment bar, and support roller assemblies. The pallets are guided by “V” grooved wheels or other roller or wheel arrangement securing the pallet to a track assembly fitted to the upper support structure which creates a continuous track which allows pallets to travel in a “carousel” fashion. Vertical-type pallets allow for the transport of long products as well as parts commonly carried on the horizontal style of the conveyor.

Abstract:
A sorting conveyor is composed of a plurality of front wheels and rear wheels each extending in a transverse direction, and a plurality of endless turning bodies wound between the wheels, respectively, each pair of wheels being arranged opposite each other in a longitudinal direction. A receipt section is provided with turning force applying units for turning target endless turning bodies of a target sorting conveyor. This configuration allows one sorting conveyor to handle a plurality of sorted articles and provides a sorting system which is constituted simply and inexpensively on the whole.
