Abstract:
The method of operating an elevator system in a building with at least one building door (2, 2′, 2″) includes through opening and/or closing the building door (2, 2′, 2″) the floor (1, 1′, 1″) of the opened and/or closed building door (2, 2′, 2″) is defined as the start floor and a destination call for an elevator car (7) to the start floor is actuated. As soon as the elevator car (7) has reached the start floor, an elevator door (3, 3′, 3″) of the start floor is opened. As soon as at least one user has entered the elevator car (7), the opened elevator door (3, 3′, 3″) is closed and the user is conveyed by the elevator car (7) to a destination floor, wherein the destination floor is defined by a destination call stored for a start floor.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a solution for generating automatic elevator calls in an elevator system (10) using a personal identifier (11). According to the invention the identification data of an identifier is read on a first departure floor, information about the departure floor is connected to the identification data, the identification data is read on some second departure floor, and on the basis of the identification data an elevator call for taking the passenger back to the first departure floor is generated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an elevator system in a building including a plurality of floor levels (1, 1′, 1″), at least one elevator door (3, 3′, 3″) and at least one building door (4, 4′, 4″, 5, 5′, 5″) and at least one elevator control (10) which controls at least one elevator drive (11) to move at least one elevator car (8), wherein an opening and/or closing of a building door (4, 4′, 4″, 5, 5′, 5″) causes at least one starting door signal (S1) to be generated and at least one elevator car (8) is ascertained for the starting door signal (S1).
Abstract:
An elevator hall call registration apparatus automatically registers a destination floor call based on verification information by a personal authentication device. The hall call registration apparatus includes a first personal authentication device which authenticates a user, a hall call registration apparatus main body which performs destination floor call registration based on verification information including personal ID unique to the user verified in the first personal authentication device, and a destination floor changing device which accepts an operation for the user to perform at least one of a change and cancel of the destination floor of a destination floor call registration. If it is judged based on an operation performed in the destination floor changing device that the operation is performed by the user authenticated by the first personal authentication device, the hall call registration apparatus can perform a change and cancel of a destination floor of the destination floor call registration.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of operating an elevator system in a building with at least two storeys (1, 1′, 1″), at least one elevator door (3, 3′, 3′) and at least one building door (2, 2′, 2″). Through opening and/or closing of a building door (2, 2′, 2″) the storey (1, 1′, 1″) of the opened and/or closed building door (2, 2′, 2″) is defined as stan storey and a destination call for an elevator cage (7) to the start storey is actuated: As soon as the elevator cage (7) has reached the start storey the elevator door (3, 3′, 3″) of the start storey is opened. As soon as at least one user has entered the elevator cage (7) the opened elevator door (3, 3′, 3″) is closed and the user is moved by the elevator cage (7) to a destination storey.
Abstract:
A conveyor passenger interface system includes a passenger reception area (10) having a mechanism (14) for receiving a voice request from a passenger. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the voice request receiving mechanism (14) is a sound dome. The system further includes a device (18) responsive to the voice request for identifying a conveyor for transporting the passenger to a desired location and for identifying the conveyor to the passenger. The system of the present invention has utility in elevator systems as well as other transportation systems.
Abstract:
A method and call system for an elevator car located within a building that may react to a passenger's approach and arrival in front of the actual elevator door. The system makes use of a sensor located near to an exterior door of the building containing the elevator, and a second different sensor located near to the actual elevator bank in which the arriving passenger would intend to enter. The system may also make use of identifying a passenger based upon a predetermined identification or authorization to include automatic communication through to the elevator for initial entrance floor location as well as an exit floor location based upon the predetermined passenger's identification and/or authorization.
Abstract:
An elevator trip based on destinations and activity parameters of a user is planned by a system having an elevator controller of an elevator installation, a storage device storing building plan data and a route planning computer. The user's trip inquiry, including a desired destination and a desired activity parameter, is received by the planning computer. Building plan data is read from the storage device by the planning computer. The current location of the user is determined by the planning computer, which calculates at least one route proposal based on the user's location, the destination and the activity parameter. The route proposal is communicated to the user. Upon receipt of a confirmation that the user selected the route proposal, a control signal identifying a boarding floor and a destination floor is transmitted by the planning computer to the elevator controller. The elevator installation is controlled according to the control signal.
Abstract:
A monitoring system for monitoring passenger interaction with one or more control panel apparatuses for placing transport calls to an elevator system in a landing of the elevator system includes: one or more cameras arranged for capturing images of passengers on the landing; and an interaction analyzer for determining passenger interaction with the one or more control panel apparatuses, the interaction analyzer arranged to: carry out, based on the respective time series of images received from said one or more cameras, an interaction analysis for determining one or more aspects of passenger interaction with the one more or more control panel apparatuses, carry out, based on the determined one or more aspects of passenger interaction with the one or more control panel apparatuses, a failure detection for the one more or more control panel apparatuses, and invoke one or more predefined actions in response to detecting a failure that pertains to at least one of the one or more control panel apparatuses.
Abstract:
A method for registering a user's request to provide contactless access to an elevator button panel includes: sensing, by a sensor associated with the elevator button panel, a motion of an object pointing towards the panel by the user; determining a distance of the object from the panel; comparing the distance with a distance threshold to determine whether the object is within the distance threshold indicating the user's request for activating a button on the panel; responding to the determination that the distance is within the distance threshold by determining a magnitude and a direction of a velocity of the object while in motion; and registering the user's request when the velocity magnitude of the object is greater than a threshold velocity magnitude, and the direction is a positive direction indicating the motion of the object towards the button the user intended to select.
