    摘要: The present invention is concerned with vertically sliding facade components. In order to improve operability and user comfort for vertically displaceable facade components, a weight compensation device (10) for vertically displaceable facade components comprises a spring element (12) for at least partial compensation of its own weight of a vertically displaceable facade component and a compensator (14). The spring element provides a spring force as a driving force (FAN) for lifting the vertically displaceable facade component. The spring element is movable between a compressed state (PK) and an expanded state (PE). The spring force has a decreasing value when moving from the compressed state to the expanded state. The compensator at least partially compensates for the decrease in the input force and provides an output force (FAB) that decreases less than the input force.

    摘要: A window balance has a channel with two ends. A top guide is disposed at one end of the channel and a bottom guide is disposed at the other end of the channel. One end of a spring is fixed within the channel. A movable block is secured to the other end of the spring. Rollers are rotatably mounted in the movable block. A single roller is rotatably mounted to a fixed block which is secured to the channel. A cord exit roller is disposed proximate the bottom guide. The first end of a cord is fixed relative to the channel. The middle portion of the cord is routed about the rollers mounted in the movable block and mounted to the fixed block. A second end of the cord is routed around the cord exit roller and is attachable to a window jamb.

    摘要: A window, with a hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism, includes a frame having upper and lower sashes slidable within the frame. A sash coupling element extends between the upper and lower sashes. The hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism is coupled with the sash coupling element. The window with the hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism is operable in a sash counterbalance mode and in an independent sash movement mode. In the sash counterbalance mode, movement of the upper or lower sash causes converse movement of the lower or upper sash through the sash coupling element, and the movement of the upper or lower sash is assisted. In the independent sash movement mode, one of the upper and lower sashes is held static while the other of the lower or upper sashes is moved, and the moved sash is assisted.

    摘要: An access system for a temperature-controlled storage device includes a perimeter frame and least one display case door mounted within the perimeter frame. The perimeter frame and the at least one display case door are configured to move substantially vertically along a surface of the temperature-controlled storage device between a raised position and a lowered position. The at least one display case door is further configured to move substantially horizontally between an open position and a closed position when the perimeter frame is in the lowered position. The access system further includes a torsion spring and motor assembly coupled to the perimeter frame and configured to move the perimeter frame and the at least one display case door between the raised position and the lowered position.
