    摘要: A hinge includes a hinge arm (1) and a hinge base (6) fitting with the hinge arm. A support (2) is disposed between the hinge arm (1) and the hinge base. A first end of the support is movably connected to the hinge arm, and a second end is movably disposed with the hinge base (6). A locking position (12) is disposed on the hinge arm. A connecting piece (4) is disposed in fitting with the locking position. A first end of the connecting piece is movably connected to the body of the support, and a second end is movably connected to a first end of a rocking bar (7). The body portion of the rocking bar (7) is movably connected coaxially to a second end of the support (2) and the hinge base (6). A connecting shaft (72) is disposed on a second end of the rocking bar. A first end of a spring (3) is hung to the connecting shaft, and the other end of the spring is hung to a hanging shaft (62) that is disposed fixedly with the hinge base. Because of the connecting spring, the connecting piece and the support on the key component rocking bar, by adjusting a hole position of a connecting rivet and a force of the spring, a balancing force and a buffering force can be provided for gates with different weights in a changing way, and the adaptability is good.

    摘要: A safety gate apparatus is provided which couples as a cost efficient and reliable gate for preventing falls and injury as well as a gate that can easily be opened by existing equipment such as a fork lift. The invention comprises a vertical sliding gate configured to move in a path of motion having at least a closed position and an open position. The vertical sliding gate remains in a closed, default position by an applied counter force created by one more elastic means. The sliding gate slides down to an open position by a downward force created by a fork lift or other machinery. The gate will automatically return to the default position when the downward force is removed.

A sash coupling element extends between the upper and lower sashes. A counterbalance and assist mechanism is coupled with the sash coupling element. The hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism is operable in a sash counterbalance mode and an independent sash movement mode. In the sash counterbalance mode, movement of the upper or lower sash causes converse movement of the lower or upper sash through the sash coupling element, and the movement of the upper or lower sash is assisted by the converse movement. In a first independent sash movement mode, one of the upper and lower sashes is held static while the other of the lower or upper sashes is moved, and the moved sash is assisted by the counterbalance and assist mechanism.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for reducing the torque of a compound balance in order to substantially cancel out the torsional force of the torsion spring acting on the spiral rod by creating an equal and opposing torsional force on the extension spring. The apparatus is an assembly connector that is non-permanently engaged with the extension spring, with the spiral rod being tensioned by the torsional force of the torsion spring. Alternatively, the extension spring may be turned in a direction to apply more torque than is required for operation of the compound balance. It is then engaged with a non pre-tensioned spiral rod sub-assembly to transfer the excess torque to the torsion spring of the spiral rod sub-assembly. In this manner, the opposing torsional forces of the torsion spring and the extension spring acting on the spiral rod substantially cancel out each other.

    摘要: A balance assembly for a sliding sash window, where a spring-loaded pulley arrangement is interconnected between the window frame and the window, to counter the weight of the window, and permit ease of opening and closing the window. The spring-loaded pulley arrangement is located within a housing, which also facilitates attachment of the shoe. The shoe of this balance assembly being rotatable between a first and a second position to permit fitting the assembly into the side of the window frame, when the shoe is in the first position, and to permit final installation of the assembly when the shoe in the second position. The shoe is retained in the first and second positions by detents. This rotatable shoe feature permitting installation, of the Balance Assembly of this invention, into a window frame at later stages of the window assembly sequence.
