    Abstract: Modular end apparatus, such as modular end fitting apparatus, and methods for flexible hoses, and associated components thereof. In one implementation, a flexible hose apparatus includes a flexible hose and a hose body coupled to the flexible hose, the hose body including a threaded outer surface. The flexible hose apparatus includes a cap including an inner shoulder protruding inwardly relative to a first inner surface of the cap. The flexible hose apparatus also includes a removable end fitting disposed in engagement with the cap. The removable end fitting includes an end body that is monolithic. The end body includes a first end, a second end opposite of the first end, and a first outer shoulder adjacent the first end and disposed between the hose body and the inner shoulder of the cap.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a quick disconnect coupling for connecting a tube to another structure, such as a structure defining a port. The quick disconnect coupling may include a tube including a retention shoulder, a swivel rotatably disposed on the tube, and an adapter defining a bore for receiving a portion of the tube. The swivel may be engageable with the adapter to trap the retention shoulder between the swivel and the adapter. The adapter may be engageable with a receiving structure defining a port and the port may be in fluid communication with a lumen of the tube when the swivel is engaged with the adapter.

    Abstract: A fluid transfer coupling is described that includes first and second connectable coupling members that together contain a sealed interior space when connected. A gas or steam purge inlet and a purge outlet are disposed in fluid communication with the sealed interior space for purging potential contaminants out of the interior space. The coupling also includes a vacuum port in fluid communication with the sealed interior space for drawing a vacuum on the sealed interior space and optionally testing the space for an adequate seal. The first coupling member includes a first fluid transfer conduit and the second coupling member includes a second fluid transfer conduit. The first and second fluid transfer conduits are positioned such that they can be connected together within the sealed interior space when the first and second coupling members are connected.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for an improved safety cam lock fitting having side by side double cam levers having outer and inner portions so that when the outer cam levers are opened and the inner cam lever remain closed, the male and female portions of the cam lock fitting only slightly separate from each other allowing the operator to quickly reclose the cam lock fitting if the operator observes that the cam lock fitting still contains pressurized material. This is accomplished by providing a larger cam lobe on the outer cam lever and a smaller cam lobe on the inner cam lever so that when the smaller cam lobe is in a closed position and protrudes into a peripheral groove on the male portion the male and female ends have a small space therein between. A lever latching mechanism may be used to prevent the cam levers from being inadvertently opened.
