Abstract:
The dispenser has a circular mixing chamber (8) which is arranged immediately in front of a mixing nozzle (7). A first channel (15) leads to the mixing chamber (8) which is connected with a rising pipe which is immersed in the filled material of a squeezable container. Simultaneously, a second channel (9) leads into the mixing chamber which is connected to the air space above the filled material. A sieve arranged in the outlet channel (19) at a distance after the mixing nozzle which completely covers the outlet channel under the effect of the pressure of the filled material flowing out when the container (1) is squeezed. With release of the container, the sieve partially releases the outlet channel under the suction effect of the air return flow. With that, the container is rapidly ready for a renewed press sequence.
Abstract:
A bag in squeeze bottle fluid dispenser capable of dispensing substantially all of the fluid product contained therein. A suitable bag support element is inserted inside the flexible bag to prevent substantial axial movement of the bag in the direction of its discharge orifice and to encourage radial collapse of the bag instead. The internal bag support means, which in a preferred embodiment comprises an extruded plastic helix, has an internal fluid passage formed within the coils of the helix and fluid communication to allow fluid contained within the bag to access the internal fluid passage along substantially the entire length of the internal bag support element. Thus, radial collapse of the flexible bag does not block the passage of fluid remaining in the bag through the discharge orifice in the bag until substantially all of the fluid contained within the bag has been dispensed. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the internal bag support element is inserted into the dispenser through the discharge orifice of the bag to a point substantially coinciding with the opposite end of the flexible bag after the bag has been filled with the fluid to be dispensed.
Abstract:
A squeeze sprayer device is attached to a squeezable container of fluid. The device includes a capped cylinder containing an axially moveable discharge valve in the form of an air piston which unseats in response to air pressure to open the discharge upon squeezing the container for producing a fine mist spray as pressurized air admixes with the liquid at the discharge orifice. A one-way valve controlled air vent on the piston closes during the spray operation. Upon release of squeeze pressure, the piston returns, its one-way valve opens for venting, and the piston seal cuts off the spray.
Abstract:
A device for producing and dispensing foam from a foamable liquid stored in a container is arranged on a connecting piece of the container by means of a mounting section. The mounting section is covered by a cap which can be displaced from an open to a closed position. A mixer section is arranged in an axial opening in the mounting section. A pervious mixing element having air and liquid passages is firmly held in the mixer section. The mounting section is constructed as a closure element which makes sealing contact with the end face (16) of the connecting piece and is mounted detachably on the outside wall of the connecting piece. The cap covers the mounting section.
Abstract:
A nonaerosol foamer comprised of an outer container or bottle and novel internal labyrinth structure comprising a slotted body covered along one face with a film of durable synthetic resinous material whereby separate air and liquid influent channels, a foaming site, and a separate foam effluent channel are defined. The liquid influent channel is constructed such that it allows controlled movement of the foamable liquid from the liquid reservoir to the foaming site during application of positive pressure within the outer container, while preventing siphoning of the foam. A novel film flap valve controls flow of influent air into the container to replenish air earlier used to produce foam.
Abstract:
Hand-held and hand-operable powder dispenser having a container including a handle/nozzle section terminating at its discharge end in an unobstructed powder dipensing opening, a hand gripping section, and a central, flexible bellows section coupled between the handle/nozzle section and the hand-gripping section. The bellows section is adapted to be collapsed and expanded axially to serve as a pump. The inside diameters of the handle/nozzle section decrease substantially linearly and continually as a function of the length of the handle/nozzle section in a direction toward the powder dispensing opening. The ratio of the length of the handle/nozzle section to the greatest value of its inside diameter is substantially greater than 1.4.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a spray nozzle for fitment to a "squeeze" container. The nozzle features a gas-liquid mixing chamber which provides for axial and radial mixing of fluids in the container during the dispensing cycle. The spray nozzle of this invention provides a spray dispensing mode even when the container is inverted.
Abstract:
A dispensing fitment for squeeze bottles includes a combined discharge and vent passage for establishing communication between the atmosphere and the interior of the bottle, the fitment defining a pair of oppositely facing, annular valve seats of different diameters, and further including an annular resilient diaphragm valve extending across the combined discharge and vent passage while being unattached to the fitment and normally being axially compressed against both valve seats for closing the passage. The valve is deflected to a discharge open position in which it is unseated from one of the valve seats when the pressure within the bottle exceeds atmospheric and the valve is deflected to a vent open position in which it is unseated from the other of the valve seats when the pressure within the bottle is reduced below atmospheric.
Abstract:
The device is based on a metering chamber which is designed to be screwed onto a tube and which has inlet and outlet openings for the product. The product is dispensed by a plunger displaceable in the metering chamber. An axially displaceable plate valve is arranged between the plunger and the bottom of the metering chamber. The valve plate is provided with holes for the passage of product. The plate valve functions such that the valve plate closes the outlet opening during filling of the metering chamber and the inlet openings during emptying of the metering chamber. The dispenser may be screwed onto standard commercial tube packs for the application of salves or pastes.
Abstract:
A mouth closure assembly for the mouth of a foam liquid dispensing container adapted to mix foamable liquid and air together and dispense the mixture in the form of a foam aerosol. The mouth closure assembly comprises a foaming portion fitted in the mouth of the dispensing container and including a check valve and a porous member and a foam liquid dispensing portion surrounding the foaming portion and including a cavity defined therein and a closure cap fitted on the top of the foam liquid dispensing portion. The foam liquid dispensing portion covers both the foaming portion and container mouth and is secured to the mouth.
