摘要： The invention relates to a carton tray with a separate carton cover, the side walls of which form a continuous frame around the edges of the cover base and fit the upper end of the tray which is provided with downwardly foldable edge flaps intended to engage with the inside of the frame formed by the side walls of the cover when placed on the tray. The side walls of the cover are extended at their ends with end flaps lying along the inside of the frame formed by the side walls. At least some of the end flaps have a locking edge turned upwardly towards the base of the cover, said edges being substantially parallel to the cover base and at a predetermined distance below it. At least some of the edge flaps of the tray have in their outwardly and downwardly folded position a downwardly turned locking edge for cooperation with a corresponding locking edge of the respective end flap so that, when the cover is pressed down onto the tray, the respective locking edge of the cover in the region of the completely pressed-down position of the cover will pass over the locking edge of the adjacent edge flap so that the edge flap snaps into position and both locking edges come into locking abutment with each other.

摘要： A cup formed container made of a punched container blank of cardboard or the like has two opposite side pieces connected to the container bottom, and being wider than the bottom side with which they are connected. Opposite joint flaps are connected to the other two sides of the bottom. Each side piece has a central part which forms a complete container side and an outer side part on each end of the central part, these outer side parts each forming part of an adjacent side of the container, so that the outer side parts jointly form at least part of the intermediate container sides, with the joint flaps serving to complete the intermediate sides and keep the parts together. Around the complete upper edge of the container, including the corners, the container is formed with a downwardly directed narrow edge flange, which is made of and folded from the same material as the container sides and which forms an angle to the container sides, the flange being continuous and unbroken along the central side parts and the outer side parts of the side pieces, and hence around the corners of the container upper edge. The container may be lined. The construction stiffens the edge of the container, facilitates use of a reclosable lid, and removes the edge of the cardboard material from the contents of the container.

摘要： A laminated or multi-layer wall carton or tray is provided which has a self-supporting outer layer or wall portion of paperboard which may be a laminated structure and may include a paperboard with a plastic, foil or a paper layer laminated thereto. The laminated layer of material may be adhered to the surface on one or on both sides of the paperboard, preferably before the tray or carton is die cut and formed. The carton includes a gusset fold and overlap at the corners for a leakproof construction and is concerned with the provision of a single gusset fold or a multiple gusset fold which may be heat sealed or glued in place. A plastic liner is either thermo-vacuum formed as a preliminary operation or in place in the paperboard tray or carton in contact with the plastic or paper coating thereon and this plastic line may be so preformed into place as to be separable therefrom and to provide with the lid to which it is heat sealed a separable container. This container may be vacuumized so that the plastic bag attached to the lid shrinks about the product therein to provide for minimizing of oxygenation.

摘要： A package which is both liquid and gas sealing comprising an outer package of relatively stiff material such as cardboard, an inner package of thin sealing material and a sealing lid which sealingly receives the upper edges of both the outer and inner packages. Both the inner and outer packages are formed from a continuous blank including bottom, side and corner pieces. The corner pieces are formed by a corner panel and a fold part on each side of the corner panel resting against the inside of the adjacent side piece. The fold part of the outer package is received within the corresponding fold of the inner package and at least each fold part of the outer package is of less height than its side pieces and corresponding corner and side pieces of the inner package so that the upper part of the outer package along its whole upper edge is formed by only one layer of cardboard.

摘要： A one-piece carton of the type having a lid portion hingedly connected thereto wherein the lid portion is adapted to fit over the container portion by making the open end of the container portion smaller than the open end of the lid while the closed upper end of the lid portion and the bottom end of the container portion are substantially the same dimensions. The open end of the container portion is made smaller than the open end of the lid portion by ensuring that upon assembly of the container portion the side walls are toed inwardly. The side walls of the container portion are maintained in the inwardly toed position by articulated panels which are connected to adjacent side walls of the container portion and the lid portion. The articulated panels are creased along angularly inclined fold lines which extend from the base of the side walls of the container portion and the lid portion and intersect one another, the angle formed between the back wall and the fold line which extends from the lid portion whereby the side walls of the container portion are toed inwardly in a direction away from the bottom wall. Preferably the lid portion has a height which is less than 50 per cent of the height of the container portion.
