Described herein are embodiments for reducing haptic vibrations for electronic devices. Embodiments of an oscillation reduction scheme learned offline are disclosed for minimizing the acceleration for a haptic vibrator. A pattern and braking generation module outputs a pattern signal for amplification and then for driving the haptic vibrator. An accelerometer measures acceleration induced by vibration from the haptic vibrator. The pattern and braking generation module adjusts the pattern signal based on the measured acceleration to identify an optimal amplitude for a braking signal at each time frame. Such a closed-loop braking optimization process may be implemented to achieve an optimal or desired braking scheme for enhanced user haptic feedback.

The invention provides an automatic stop method and device for a can opener. When a first rotation frequency of a bearing in a first preset time is smaller than a second rotation frequency of the bearing in a subsequent second preset time in the process of opening a can by a can opener blade and a difference between the second and first frequency reaches a preset value, it is determined that repeated cutting occurs, and the blade will be stopped in time to avoid problems caused by repeated cutting. Meanwhile, mean values of multiple data acquired within the first and second preset time are calculated, avoiding the problems of an excessively high and long instant processing burden of one time of data acquisition and errors caused by data acquired once, improving the timeliness and accuracy of the first and second frequency, and can opening can be controlled more accurately.

The system (100) comprises of a sensor (102A) mounted on the turbulent flow system (102) to detect an oscillatory variable in the system obtaining a signal, a signal conditioner (104) that conditions the signal from the sensor, an amplitude estimator (110) that estimates the amplitude of the limit cycle oscillations, and also predict the proximity of the system to the oscillatory instability, a processor (108) connected to the amplitude estimator (110) to compare the predicted oscillation amplitude with a threshold value. The amplitude is estimated by estimating the spectral measure of the time series signal obtained from the system.
