Abstract: Method and systems for creating clinical data files with secured medical information. A clinical data file may be created by converting clinical data to a single format, and the medical information may be entered into corresponding data fields in the clinical data file. The medical information may include treatment professional information, patient personal information, and/or patient image(s). Each of the data fields may be associated with an indicator, where the indicator, when enabled, may be configured to secure at least a portion of the medical information in the corresponding data field. The secured clinical data file may be configured such that, once a pass code is entered, the patient image(s) are modifiable by the addition of modification(s) that are arranged as layer(s) saved separately from the patient image(s).

Abstract: A method of controlling access to a document file includes creating the document file, which is an executable file that presents content having at least one media type and is presentable to a user on an electronic device having a processor. A first unique global identifier is associated with the document file. A content storage device associated with a second unique global identifier is provided. The content storage device is coupled for communication with the processor of the electronic device. The document file is then provided to the user providing by storing the document file on the content storage device, but only if the first unique global identifier corresponds to the second unique global identifier in a predetermined manner.

Abstract: A system is provided for configuring legacy file-based workflows to remotely and dynamically access media essence. An example system includes a filename generator that dynamically generates a filename for corresponding media content in an essence store in response to a selection by a file-based workflow application running on a media production computing device. The system includes an identity file generator that generates a respective identity file for the selected content and that includes the generated filename. Furthermore, the system includes a content API that queries an essence access database using the generated identity file to obtain metadata that indicates access information for the media content. The content API then configures the file-based workflow application to access the media content from the essence store based on an accessed track number and byte length of the respective media content accessed in response to the query of the media essence access database.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a data processing method. The method includes: A backup server receives a metadata obtaining command, where the metadata obtaining command is used to obtain file system metadata in a first format, and the command includes an identifier of a to-be-read target directory. The backup server obtains, from a metadata storage area of an archive storage based on the identifier of the target directory, file system metadata that is in a second format and that corresponds to the target directory, converts the file system metadata that is in the second format and that corresponds to the target directory into file system metadata that is in the first format and that corresponds to the target directory, and returns the file system metadata.

Abstract: A data processing system implements obtaining, at a file services platform, first mapping information by mapping files, folders, or a combination thereof stored on each of a plurality of client devices associated with a first user. The data processing system further implements synchronizing the first mapping information with the plurality of client devices, receiving a first request for a first file from a first client device of the plurality of client devices, where the first file stored locally on a second client device of the plurality of client devices. The data processing system further implements requesting that the second client device upload an instance of the first file to the file services platform; receiving the instance of the first file from the second client device; and causing the first client device to download the instance of the first file from the file services platform to the first client device.

Abstract: Embodiments for providing adaptive namespace verification with high efficiency. The verification process is used in modern filesystems to check the integrity of key data structures, such for backup systems where providing thorough and efficient mechanisms for verification is critical. Embodiments accelerate the verification process by selectively applying continuous, differential, and integral verification techniques for startup and runtime repair purposes to overcome present problems for system capacities that exceed the petabyte range and impose significant time requirements using existing verification methods. Embodiments work with both single-node and distributed filesystems.

Abstract: A method and system for leveraging file-system metadata for direct to cloud object storage optimization. Under cloud object storage architecture, any unstructured data may be managed and stored in the cloud as objects. Objects thus provide an elastic, scalable format through which unstructured data may be maintained for a variety of purposes, including those directed to data backup, archiving, and/or disaster recovery. Cloud object storage, however, tends to be costly—mainly stemming from factors, such as the frequency of read and write operations (also referred to as runtime costs) applied to, as well as the allocation of disk space (also referred to as storage costs) consumed by, any number of objects configured to store file backup copies. In addressing at least the aforementioned, embodiments disclosed herein optimize cloud object storage utilization through the intelligent grouping and object storing of data based on file attribute similarities.
