    摘要: A cylindrical vessel has a drive shaft rotatably mounted therein and extending along substantially the entire longitudinal extent thereof. This drive shaft is rotatably driven by a motor at a speed of 1,500-10,000. Solid particles to be comminuted which may be of coal and limestone/dolomite or lime are fed into the vessel. Connected to the shaft and rotatably driven therewith is a centrifugal compressor fan which forms an uplifting air curtain which suspends the particles. Mounted above the compressor and rotatably driven by the drive shaft are a plurality of rotors, screens, and a disc mounted in an aperture formed in a fixed plate which forms a circular vortex in the space between the disc and the plate. The particles are comminuted by the successive action of the rotors, screens and the circular vortex, larger particles being repelled for further comminution while the finer particles are fed from the vessel to cyclonic classifiers. The fully comminuted particles are removed for utilization while the gas which carried the particles is first cooled to liquidize moisture which is removed therefrom and then recycled to the vessel.

    摘要: A cylindrical vessel has a drive shaft rotatably mounted therein and extending along substantially the entire longitudinal extent thereof. This drive shaft is rotatably driven by a motor at a speed of 3,000-10,000 rpm. The output of a roller mill or the like having particles of the order of -200 mesh to be further comminuted, which may be of coal or other minerals, are fed into the vessel. Connected to the shaft and rotatably driven therewith is a centrifugal compressor fan. This fan with additional air intake to the vessel provides a high velocity air curtain which suspends the particles and drives them upwardly. Mounted above the compressor and rotatably driven by the drive shaft are a plurality of semipermeable screens which comminute the particles to bring them to a superfine state. Particles which are not comminuted to a superfine state are repelled by the screens for further comminution. Fully comminuted particles are passed through an aperture in a fixed plate and fed to collecting cyclones which collect these particles.

    摘要: A portion of the feed line to a distilling column/flasher (or the like apparatus) is used as a flow-through cyclone to separate vapor and liquid components of the feed. Vortex flow is induced in the flasher feed line with a swirl vane assembly having drainage slots in the bottommost portion thereof for preventing entrapment of liquids therein. A shave-off device at the discharge end of the flasher feed line minimizes re-entrainment. The shave-off device includes a short cylinder, slightly smaller in diameter than the feed line and arranged coaxially therewith to form an annulus, which leads to a circular liquid collection chamber and collection chute draining into the flasher unit. Covers are removable for cleaning. The purpose of the shave-off device is to remove the liquids from the wall of the transfer (flasher feed) line in such a way that re-entrainment of liquids is minimized. The non-intrusive nature of the shave-off device minimizes vapor phase pressure drop.

    摘要: An improved fume exhauster includes a housing forming therein a receiving space in which a suction and filtration unit is disposed. Fastened to the lower portion of the receiving space of the housing is a bottom plate having a fume sucking hole and a plurality of air exit holes arranged at a predetermined interval along left, right and front edges thereof. The fume is sucked in through the fume sucking hole of the bottom plate and is subsequently filtered by a filtration member. The filtered fume (clean air) is caused to pass through the air exit holes to form an air curtain under the fume exhauster. The air curtain acts to prevent the dissipation of the fume so as to reinforce the sucking and exhausting effect of the fume exhauster.

    摘要: An apparatus for removing liquid from an air liquid separator is disclosed having a rotatable chamber in communication with the liquid collecting portion of the air-liquid separator such that liquid from the separator may enter the interior of the chamber. A drive motor is associated with the chamber to rotate the chamber such that water collects on the interior of a peripheral wall. A pitot tube extends into the interior of the chamber and has an inlet end adjacent to the inside of the peripheral wall such that water may enter the tubes as the chamber rotates. The other end of the pitot tube extends exteriorly of the apparatus. Rotation of the chamber will cause water to enter the pitot tube and pass through the tube to the exterior of the device.

    摘要: The liquid/gas separator for soapy water consists of a fixed cylindrical housing defining a fixed chamber for supporting a rotating shaft supported about the longitudinal axis. A preswirl chamber communicating with the main chamber in which are disposed parallelly spaced annular coalescing disks supported to the rotating shaft, serves, with the preswirl chamber, to rotate the centrifuged water to form a water ring adjacent the outer wall of the chamber and flows the gas through a central passage formed in the shaft along the longitudinal axis to be vented in response to a control valve located at the open end of the shaft remote from the preswirl chamber. Control means responsive to the differential of the static pressure of the water ring and the gas pressure, control the venting of the gas. Additional control means are included for high and low level settings to provide override information for control of the judiciously located solenoid valve for the venting of the gas in the liquid/water separator and for override in the system utilizing the liquid/gas separator.

A gas stream and particulate material to be sorted is introduced between the guide vanes and the rotor, and the gas stream charged with particles of dimensions smaller than predetermined dimensions and sorted out of the particulate material is drawn out of a central outlet. The second set of blades is arranged to guide the streams of gas coming through channels between adjacent vertical blades of the first set to the central outlet.
