摘要: A compact disc stack cyclone separator includes: a fluid inlet; a vortex generator which generates a forced vortex; a conical or cylindrical vortex generating chamber; a separation chamber which is a cavity formed by downstream open ends of stacked truncated cones; narrow gaps between the stacked truncated cones, a collecting channel for heavy phrase fluid from the gaps between the stacked truncated cones which installed about the outlets of the gaps at upstream open end of the stacked truncated cones to channel heavy phrase fluid to a storage chamber of heavy phrase fluid; and an outlet for heavy phrase fluid to flow out from the storage chamber of heavy phrase fluid, while the outlet of light phrase fluid is annexed to the downstream open end of the last stacked truncated cone which is the downstream open end of separation chamber.

摘要: A drilling mud treatment unit (100) comprises a primary duct (10) for feeding coagulated drilling mud, an in-line flocculation system (20) for flocculating the coagulated drilling mud flowing in the primary duct (10), and at least one hydrocyclone (30) fed by the primary duct (10) and arranged downstream from the flocculation system (20). The hydrocyclone (30) has an overflow orifice (32) for receiving a liquid product resulting from treatment of the drilling mud and an underflow orifice (34) for receiving a solid product resulting from treatment of the drilling mud. The overflow orifice (32) presents an overflow diameter (Do) and the underflow orifice presents an underflow diameter (Du), and the underflow diameter (Du) is greater than 1.1 times the overflow diameter (Do).

摘要: The chamber (29A) of the overflow outlet control device (21A) has an inner circumferential surface which, when viewed in cross-sectional plan view, is generally in the shape of a volute, for directing material entering the chamber (29A) via the circular inlet (34) at the base portion (36) tangentially outward towards the discharge outlet (22A) located in the side wall (38). The top wall region (40) of the interior wall of the chamber (29A), a side wall portion (32) and base portion (36) together seamlessly form the chamber (29A) which is curved in shape internally. When material flows in use between the inlet (34) and the discharge outlet (22A), and passes through the central chamber (29A), it encounters no sharp corners or edges, but just smoothly curved or rounded interior wall surfaces. The top wall region (40) of the chamber (29A) also features a protruding flow control formation (42) which is joined or formed therewith, and which is arranged to extend into the chamber (29A), being directed face towards the inlet (34) such that in use the flow of material into the chamber (29A) via the inlet (34) directly encounters the formation (42).

摘要: A liquid treatment unit removes particulate matter and colloids from a liquid, as found in waste water on mines, on construction sites and on heavy industry sites. The liquid treatment unit includes an electrocoagulation unit and a cyclonic separator unit. The liquid to be treated is first subject to electrocoagulation and then fed into the cyclonic separator unit. The cyclonic separator unit guides the electrocoagulated liquid in a circular path downwardly from an outer perimeter to move underneath a skirt and then upwardly and inwardly towards a central outlet located at the top of the cyclonic separator. Floating particles are skimmed from the surface outside of the skirt. In moving to the outlet, the liquid passes through a plurality of nested frusto-conical guide members. An ultrasonic transducer is used to collapse bubbles formed by electrocoagulation, and to clean the electrocoagulation electrodes.

摘要: A vehicle system is provided. The system may include a first coolant loop, including a radiator, a second coolant loop including a battery chiller, and a centrifugal coolant separator. The centrifugal coolant separator may include a frustoconical hollow body having a base defining a drain and a ceiling defining a spout, and a pair of coolant lines arranged orthogonal to and on opposite sides of the body such that coolant exiting the lines travels along the inner surface and collects at the base to separate gas from the coolant, wherein the spout vents the gas and the coolant exits the drain.
