摘要： A seal housing body, extruded AL or molded plastic or metal, has cavity portions communicating through an interface region formed by one at least one frangible projection protruding from the first body into the cavity, a first cavity portion for receiving a locking body, the second cavity portion forming a shackle receiving passageway. The locking body has a channel inclined relative to and in communication with the passageway. A spring in the channel urges a shackle locking ball up the channel partially into the interface region, the ball, having a diameter sufficient to pass through the passageway, is captured in the channel by the at least one projection. The locking body has indicia and/or flanges, at one or both opposing ends, to provide tampering evidence. The channel is offset from the locking body's central plane forming a single channel side wall to preclude trapping the ball by tampering.

摘要： A sealing strip on a release layer is disclosed. The release layer can include an envelope with walls cooperatively enclosing a pocket with an opening. The envelope can include a closure flap pivotable to close the envelope. A first location of the envelope can include a sealing strip releasably adhered to the envelope (or a release layer on the envelope). This sealing strip can be removable from the first location and placeable in a second location overlapping the closure flap in the closed position and an adjacent portion of an envelope wall. The sealing strip can include an adhesive capable of adhering to the closure flap and adjacent portion of the second wall for securing the closure flap in the closed position. The sealing strip can include a removable grasping tab connected by a weakened area. The sealing strip can be provided on a release layer independent of an envelope.

摘要： Methods and systems that provide privacy of signatures on envelopes containing ballots are provided. The envelope for returning ballots includes a removable signature stub positioned on top of a signature area. The voter signs the back of the envelope on the signature stub, thereby imprinting a signature on the signature area by transferring a material from the signature stub to the signature area, and removes the signature stub. The signature is then covered by a label that conceals the signature under normal lighting conditions. To read the signature, light having a predetermined wavelength is directed onto the label, thereby rendering the label transparent and the signature visible.

Once the locking insert is engaged with the outer body, they cannot be disengaged without showing evidence of the disengagement. One end of the pin is keyed. The body member has a slot through a side surface extending into the interior, and is keyed to receive the pin. Abutting the top surface of the body member are two parallel guide members, bounding an area comprising the top surface of the body member. One of the guide members also has a slot to allow the pin to engage the slot in the body member. One or two removable security label blanks are inserted between the guides after the pin is inserted into the slot, and a security label is affixed over the blanks. A cover engages the body and guide members to protect the label.

摘要： A tamper evident envelope is disclosed which includes sealing strips located within the seams of the envelope. Each strip is formed by two clear plastic strips secured together. One of the clear plastic strips includes a groove and a dye located within the groove whereby the dye is sealed between the two clear plastic strips. When a seam is separated, the sealing strip is damaged thereby releasing the dye onto the adjacent portions of the envelope and providing visual evidence that the seam was opened. A second embodiment is disclosed where the dye is omitted and separation of the secured clear plastic strips results in damage to the envelope providing visual evidence of tampering.

The U-shaped upper member abutting each base member is oriented to form an oblong shape when the two base members are adjacent the other.
