    摘要: A product-carrying tray 1 has longitudinally slotted end members 3 for sliding engagement on guide rails in a conveyor installation or storage unit. Transverse edges 2 of the tray are provided with coupling members 5 for interengagement with other like units also accommodated on the guide rails. In the illustrated embodiment, the coupling members 5 are defined by interengaging hook structures consisting of projecting portions 7 and laterally extending end portions 6. The tray of the invention is especially suited to accommodating food products within a storage or treatment chamber. The tray may however also serve as a product-carrying element in a conveyor installation. Apart from the hook-type interconnection illustrated, a multiplicity of other interconnecting arrangements may be provided, including, inter alia, alternative mechanical structures and magnetic coupling.

    摘要: A transfer system includes an air table, and a linear motor cooperating with the air table to float and move a pallet. The transfer system is designed to allow for a small radius of curvature for each turning section of the air table. Ball valves of the air table are openable upon contact with a pallet to apply air under pressure to a pallet. A linear motor is adapted to move the floating pallet, and guides are provided to guide the moving floating pallet. The pallet includes a pallet body made of a light material, and an external load part made of metal. The external load part has a lower surface projecting slightly from the lower surface of the pallet body. Guides are mounted to the outer periphery of the pallet body. A linear motor secondary conductor is mounted to the lower surface of the pallet body.

    摘要: A lightweight car-on-track system having a pair of spaced-apart rails and an associated rotatable drive tube with a captive carrier movable along the rails and having a drive wheel in driving engagement with the rotatable drive tube. The drive wheel is spring-loaded against the rotatable drive tube and the capture of the carrier to the rails results in a controlled drive force achieved regardless of the weight of the carrier or of a load supported thereon. The system is made up of a selected number of modular units, each having adjustably mounted frame members supporting opposite ends of a rail section and a drive tube section. Adjustable mounting of frame members to an alignment plate assures alignment between rail and drive tube sections when assembling the system. A transfer device is utilized for transferring a carrier from the end of one track section to the spaced-apart end of another track section with the transfer device being oscillatable about a pivot axis. A drive tube for each track section has a generally frusto-conical end extending beyond an end thereof which coact with the drive wheel of a carrier to impart motion of a carrier onto and off the transfer device.

    摘要: An improved motive structure for transporting workpieces (wafers, chip, packages, etc.) between processing stations or tools in a manufacturing operation. The structure includes a first circular crankshaft assembly connected to center axles disposed at right angles to the transport motion. A second such crankshaft assembly is located some distance along the path of motion. Three driverods are connected between the first and second crankshaft assemblies, each affixed 120.degree. apart on the circular crankshafts so that each driverod is moved upward, then forward along the transport direction, then downward and backward to its original position as the crankshafts go through a complete 360.degree. rotation. The structure is disposed beneath transport rails which hold movable containers for holding the workpieces. As a driverod moves up and forward, it contacts a spring-loaded element on the movable container and drives it forward by friction contact. As each driverod begins to move down and away from the workpiece container, the next driverod is being rotated up and forward to continue to move the container along the rails. Pluralities of such structures are linearly arranged to provide an extended transport system.
