摘要： A raised flooring system and methods of forming components of such a system are disclosed. The present flooring system utilizes thin sheet metal, typically galvanized steel, to form a first strip having a plurality of pedestals formed in a spaced apart relation on the strip and connected via wings extending from the first strip to wings extending from a second strip, thereby forming an overall rectilinear, grid-like pattern of pedestals. The pedestals are used to maintain floor panels above a network of channels in which conduit, cables, hoses, pipe and other materials can be routed. The pedestals are punched and formed from strips of sheet metal and have an overall shape generally that of a tower supported by two legs that may have rounded edges for increased load-bearing capacity. The wings that are designed to interlock with corresponding wings from another strip may also be formed from the pedestal-bearing strips.

The modular standardized components include a series of modular vertical and horizontal supports and a light-weight modular deck panel. The modular vertical and horizontal supports can be detachably coupled together in a slidably interlocked manner using a universal connector mechanism in to a support frame structure for supporting a plurality of modular deck panels. By using a small number of modular supports and a universal connector mechanism that is similar for all structural interconnections required to build the support frame structure, the modular portable stage and floor system is strong and stable, yet easily transported, assembled and disassembled.

摘要： A junction box is disclosed that has a centrally located housing with a bottom and four sides joined to form a closed perimeter. One or two receptacle boxes also having bottoms are attached to and surround the housing. The boxes enclose outlets and the cable and wire connections to the outlets, which may be accessed through the centrally located housing. A cover above the receptacle boxes completely encloses the outlets, preventing water and the like from entering the junction box and shorting any electrical connections. Frames sized to accept various types and sizes of outlets slide into tracks located within the receptacle boxes in order to position the outlets easily and securely, yet removably, within the junction box.

摘要： An apparatus and method for implementing a supplementary column structure for supporting a raised floor. The apparatus includes a number of fixed supporting columns above a lower floor to support at least one raised floor. Each fixed supporting, column has two ends, one of which is attached to a base block fixed to the lower floor while the other end is attached to all upper connecting block supporting the raised floor. The method of adding the supplementary columns includes first choosing two fixed supporting columns and installing a horizontal beam with a U-shaped groove between the two fixed columns. At least one supplementary column is then provided, each supplementary column being attached to an I-shaped slidable base block enclosed by the grooved horizontal beam at its one end, and to an upper connecting, block supporting the raised floor at its other end. The supplementary column can then slide along the groove of the horizontal beam until a desired location is reached.
