摘要： The disclosure is directed towards systems and methods for dimming an alarm clock with three displays. An alarm clock can include three displays each positioned on a different side of the alarm clock to allow the alarm clock to be read from different vantage points. In some implementations, the alarm clock can include a front display, a right side display, and a left side display. Each display can have multiple brightness settings. Each display also can have a respective dimming button to allow a user to select a desired brightness level. In some implementations, the dimming button for the front display can serve as a master dimming button by controlling the brightness of all three of the displays, while the right side dimming button and the left side dimming button control only the brightness setting for the right side display and the left side display, respectively.

In some embodiments, an integral portion of the base-36 number represents a date value, and a fractional portion of the base-36 number represents a time value. Each base-36 digit may be represented by one of the numerals 0-9 and the letters A-Z. Both digital and analog clocks and a clock application displaying date and/or time information in which a day is broken into thirty-six increments are disclosed. A clock application displaying coordinates of a location based on a base-36 geo-positioning system is disclosed.

摘要： A dual mode clock and timer unit includes a housing and a plurality of displays mounted on the housing for facilitating the viewing of time-related data from different directions. The housing has top, bottom, and side surfaces defining the exterior of the housing in a generally truncated pyramidal shape. The displays are mounted on the housing side surfaces and angularly displaced from one another. Switches are mounted on the top and bottom housing surfaces and are actuable for selecting one or the other of dual clock and timer operating modes and, after one or the other of the dual modes have been selected, for causing different functions to occur in one of the modes than in the other of the modes. Also, a circuit, such as microcomputer-based circuit, is provided in the housing electrically connected between the switches and each of the displays for currently carrying out operations in clock and timer modes and for causing indications of time-related data on the displays relating to one or the other, but not both concurrently, of clock and timer modes in response to selected actuation of the switches.

摘要： A miniature digital electronic timepiece is disclosed which destroys time information in a continuously laterally shifting manner upon a matrix type display, such that more than one digit and less than two digits are visible at any particular instant. The category of information currently displayed, e.g. minutes or hours, is indicated by an identification mark, and the currently displayed digits can be halted and made completely visible, through size reduction, by actuation of a correction switch. Correction of the now stationary digits can then be accomplished by further switch actuation, so that time information correction is simple and rapid, even if only a single external operating member is utilized.
