Abstract:
An elastomeric stamp is used to deposit material on a non-planar substrate. A vacuum mold is used to deform the elastomeric stamp and pressure is applied to transfer material from the stamp to the substrate. By decreasing the vacuum applied by the vacuum mold, the elasticity of the stamp may be used to apply this pressure. Pressure also may be applied by applying a force to the substrate and/or the stamp. The use of an elastomeric stamp allows for patterned layers to be deposited on a non-planar substrate with reduced chance of damage to the patterned layer.
Abstract:
Methods and compositions for reducing or inhibiting, or preventing or delaying the onset of, one or more symptoms associated with an early and/or a late phase of an IL-13-associated disorder or condition using IL-13 binding agents are disclosed. Methods for evaluating the kinetics and/or efficacy of an IL-13 binding agent in treating or preventing an IL-13-associated disorder or condition in a subject, e.g., a human subject, are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Communication systems and methods transfer information between a client device and a vendor device through a firewall between the client device and the vendor device by using a communications protocol that will normally allows pass through the firewall and/or by e embedding the information in a file format that will normally pass through the firewall. The information can be transmitted using the hypertext transfer protocol, and/or is embedded in an HTTP document or in an e-mail message. If the client device is on a secure side of the firewall and the vendor device needs to initiate communication with the client device, the vendor device can send an e-mail message to the client device asking the client device to initiate the communication session. Because the client device has initiated the communication, the firewall should allow the response to the client device's request to pass through from the vendor device to the client device.

A product line of MRI systems includes a first MRI system including a first yoke and a plurality of magnet blocks forming a first central assembly disposed on the first yoke. The product line also includes a second MRI system including a second yoke, a plurality of magnet blocks forming a second central assembly disposed on the second yoke and shaped the same as the first central assembly, and a first set of magnet blocks mounted to the second yoke at a periphery of the second central assembly.
Abstract:
A multi purpose interconnect assembly between upper and lower helium vessels in a recondensing superconducting magnet to provide isothermal connections to extend the ride-through period, and to provide for helium liquid and gas passage, electrical interconnections, and to accommodate differential thermal contraction and expansion.
Abstract:
A magnet cartridge for an open architecture superconducting magnet including an iron ring sandwiched between two coil forms, and including radial and axial positioning and securing apparatus to position, secure and maintain the relative positions of the coils on the coil forms and the iron ring in the presence of the strong superconducting magnet field generated by superconducting operation of said magnet.
Abstract:
In the installation of a superconducting magnet for magnetic resonance imaging at a preselected position in a mobile van, preselected curvilinear magnetic segments are applied to preselected locations on the exterior of the magnet to counteract magnet inhomogeneities in the imaging bore which would otherwise occur because of magnetic material in the van structure.
Abstract:
An open superconductive magnet useful in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications. The magnet has two spaced-apart assemblies and preferably has a "C" shape. Each assembly has: a vacuum enclosure having a longitudinal axis and surrounding a bore; a magnetizable pole piece located within the bore and outside the vacuum enclosure; and a superconductive main coil, a superconductive shielding coil, and a magnetizable ring positioned within the vacuum enclosure. There is no magnetizable solid path between the two pole pieces. Preferably, the ring is positioned longitudinally between the main and shielding coils.

Compounds of Formula I: ##STR1## are antagonists of the actions of leukotrienes. These compounds are useful as anti-asthmatic, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, and cytoprotective agents. They are also useful in treating angina, cerebral spasm, glomerular nephritis, hepatitis, endotoxemia, uveitis, and allograft rejection.
