Abstract: Facilitating sparsity adaptive feedback in the delay doppler domain in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise determining, by a first device comprising a processor, a channel covariance matrix in a time-frequency domain based on a channel estimation associated with reference signals received from a second device. The method also can comprise decomposing, by the first device, the channel covariance matrix into a group of component matrices. Further, the method can comprise transforming, by the first device, respective matrices of the group of component matrices into respective covariance matrices in a delay doppler domain. The method also can comprise determining, by the first device, channel state information feedback in the delay doppler domain.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed towards scheduling and Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) operations by which nodes in a three party communication system can communicate. To schedule a data transmission from a transmitter node to receiver node(s), a local manager/scheduler node sends common downlink control information to the transmitter and receiver nodes. Via a scheduling request, the transmitting node can request the scheduling of the data transmission by the local manager node. The technology facilitates unicast and broadcast/multicast data transmissions; for a unicast data transmission, the scheduling request identifies the receiving node. The transmitting node can explicitly acknowledge reception of the downlink control information to the local manager node, or the local manager node can detect the data transmission, when it occurs, as an implicit acknowledgment that the common downlink control information was successfully received.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed towards semi-static or dynamic shifting of New Radio demodulation reference signals to avoid collisions with LTE cell specific reference signals (LTE CRS) in a physical downlink shared channel symbol (PDSCH). In dynamic spread spectrum (DSS) deployments, where NR PDSCH mapping type B is used, e.g., to allow for two NR physical downlink control channel symbols, when the NR PDSCH starts on a symbol carrying LTE CRS, the NR DMRS of the NR PDSCH is shifted to the first symbol of the NR PDSCH not carrying LTE CRS. Whether mapping type A or mapping type B, shifting the symbol containing NR DMRS facilitates the use of two DMRS symbols without colliding with LTE CRS.

Abstract: An integrated access and backhaul network is provided with network nodes that can establish timing synchronization with any other network nodes. In an embodiment, network nodes in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network have a hop order of n, wherein n represents a number of hops from a node connected to the core network via a wired connection. In an embodiment, instead of using the network node with a hop order of 0 as the timing synchronization reference for over-the-air synchronization, any network node can use any other network node as a synchronization reference. A relay node can first establish a wireless link to said arbitrary node. Said wireless link is then used to synchronize the relay or IAB node using a Precision Time Protocol (PTP) implementation.

The method may further include the processing system receiving at a second location, from the base station, the synchronization signal, measuring a channel property at the second location based upon the synchronization signal that is received at the second location, and selecting between the first location and the second location for a deployment of a customer premises equipment based upon the channel property at the first location and the channel property at the second location.

Abstract: Facilitating configurable hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback types for new radio sidelink communication can be performed for a 5G wireless network. Based on whether reception of data was successful or not, a reception node can send acknowledgement (ACK) data or negative acknowledgement (NACK) data to a base station using an uplink control signal. Therefore, the feedback data can be used to manage subsequent resource allocation decisions within the 5G wireless network.

A method comprises: determining a multi-dimensional bitmap (MDB) in time and frequency domains, wherein the time domain is represented by an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) symbol and the frequency domain is represented by an OFDM subcarrier. The determining comprises: selecting a group of reserved resource allocations of the MDB in which data information is not to be communicated; assigning a first value for the OFDM multiplexed symbol and the OFDM subcarrier according to a location of elements of the group of reserved resource allocations; and assigning, to other portions of the MDB other than the group of reserved resource allocations, a second value distinct from the first value. The method also comprises facilitating, by the device, transmitting the MDB to a mobile device.
