摘要： A perfecting printer for performing a double-face printing operation of printing images on obverse and reverse faces of at least one sheet on the basis of a series of print data inputted from an external device and a method for controlling the double-face printing operation of the printer. The perfecting printer includes a page memory for storing as page data at least both of the first and second print data in the series of the print data, and a control unit for printing the first and second print data on both of the obverse and reverse faces of the sheet when it is judged that the page data to be printed on the reverse face of the sheet exists in the memory and promptly printing only the first print data on the obverse face of the sheet when it is judged that the page data to be printed on the reverse face of the sheet does not exist in the memory.

摘要： A paper feeding device includes a cassette-receiving section defined in a housing of an apparatus to which the paper feeding device is applied, and a cassette adapted to be detachably loaded into the cassette-receiving section. According to a first aspect, at least one of the cassette or the housing has an inclined portion for conducting the cassette to a cassette-loading opening along a table. According to a second aspect, the under surface of the cassette-receiving section is defined by a first guiding portion extending from the lower edge of the opening for loading, an inclined guiding portion extending in an upwardly inclined manner from the first guiding portion and a second guiding portion extending from the inclined guiding portion. According to a third aspect, the cassette-receiving section has provided therein a first guiding portion extending from the lower edge of the opening for loading, a second guiding portion disposed above the first guiding portion and an inclined guiding portion for conducting projecting guide portions provided on opposite side walls of the cassette to the second guiding portion.

摘要： A paper-feeding device which includes a paper-feeding cassette removably located into an image processing apparatus, a locking mechanism for inhibiting extraction of the paper-feeding cassette by engaging with the cassette or a cassette mount, and a locking control device for activating operation of the locking mechanism while a paper-feeding operation is underway. Since the locking control device remains activated while the paper-feeding operation is underway, the operator cannot extract the paper-feeding cassette from the image processing apparatus during a paper-feeding operation.

摘要： Novel thioesters effective as acylating agents for amines or hydrazines, especially effective as active esters in synthesis of cephalosporin compounds are disclosed. The novel thioester of the present invention can be prepared by reacting a thiol or a derivative thereof with an acetic acid derivative or a reactive derivative thereof. By reacting the thioester of the present invention with a 7-aminocephalosporin derivative or a salt thereof, cephalosporin derivatives or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof which are excellent antibiotic substances having a high antimicrobial activity can be obtained in high yield very safely.

摘要： 7-Aminocephalosporanic acid derivatives represented by the general formula (III), ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen, hydroxyl, acetate or a nucleophilic residue, which are useful as a starting material for the synthesis of cephalosporin type antibiotics low in toxicity and broad in pharmacological effect can be easily prepared by allowing to react cephalosporin C or its derivative represented by the general formula (I), ##STR2## wherein X is as defined above, or a salt thereof with an .alpha.-keto derivative represented by the general formula (II), ##STR3## wherein R.sub.1 is carboxyl, aroyl or amide when R.sub.2 is hydrogen, and is carboxyl when R.sub.2 is alkyl or aryl, or its salt. In this case, the yield of the 7-aminocephalosporanic acid derivatives can be remarkably improved by carrying out the reaction in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The yield can be further improved by adding thiosulfuric acid or a salt thereof after the completion of the reaction to decompose the unreacted hydrogen peroxide.
