Abstract: Described are techniques for application migration. The techniques include migrating an application to a target cloud infrastructure and generating a cost-aware code dependency graph during execution of the application on the target cloud infrastructure. The techniques further include modifying the application by removing source code corresponding to unused nodes according to the cost-aware code dependency graph and replacing identified source code of a high-cost subgraph of the cost-aware code dependency graph with calls to a generated microservice configured to provide functionality similar to the identified source code. The techniques further include implementing the modified application on one or more virtual machines of the target cloud infrastructure.

Abstract: Aspects discussed herein include a computer-implemented method comprising receiving a support request from a user, and during a current support session responsive to the support request, performing textual analysis of one or more inputs provided by the user during one or both of: (i) the current support session and (ii) one or more previous support sessions. The method further comprises applying one or more features determined by the textual analysis to a model to classify the user into a first class of a predefined plurality of classes that describe a pace of conversation during the current support session. The method further comprises, based on the classification of the user, assigning the support request to be fulfilled by a first operator of a predefined plurality of support operators.

The processor(s) analyses the physical behaviors and the captured portions to generate implicit feedback indicating amounts of time the user engaged with each portion of the one or more documents during the monitoring. The processor(s) generates a model profile for the user including relative timing measures indicating ranked levels of engagement of the user with the portions and ranked levels of importance of each portion.

Abstract: A method for improving the performance of a computer vision system includes obtaining input specifying a task to be performed by the computer vision system; obtaining a first digital image; and comparing the first digital image to at least one training image used to train the computer vision system to solve the task. Further steps include, based on the comparing indicating that the first digital image is insufficiently similar to the at least one training image, recommending at least one adjustment to the digital image; obtaining a second digital image in accordance with the adjustment; and performing the task with the computer vision system based on the second digital image obtained in accordance with the adjustment. Adjustments can be based, for example, on image composition and/or weather conditions.

Abstract: A method for transporting data from a source location to a destination location includes receiving the data from at least one sender at the source location, the sender specifying at least one recipient at the destination location; splitting the data into a plurality of portions; and finding one or more couriers who will travel from the source location to the destination location. The method also includes: while at least a given courier is at the source location, sending at least one of the plurality of portions to a mobile device of at least the given courier; once the given courier travels to the destination location, receiving the at least one of the portions from the mobile device of the given courier; and once the plurality of portions of the data have been received at the destination location, sending the data set to the at least one recipient.
