Abstract:
An image forming apparatus including an image forming device and a post-processing device having a punching device that forms punch holes of a plurality of types to a paper ejected from the image forming device. The image forming apparatus also includes an indicator. The indicator indicates one of pictographs corresponding to each of punch hole types and indicates an indicated pictograph as a pictograph different from the previous pictograph when the indicated pictograph is selected. Or alternatively, the indicator indicates each of the punch hole types and also indicates a plurality of pictographs different from each other and indicates a pictograph corresponding to a selected punch hole type as a pictograph different from the previous pictograph when the punch hole type is selected.
Abstract:
A sheet finishing apparatus including a sheet tray, a pair of jogging fences, and a case. The sheet tray stacks a plurality of sheets that have been sent from an image forming apparatus. The pair of jogging fences hold the sheets stacked in the sheet tray and jog the sheets in a transverse direction relative to a sheet transferring direction. The jogging fences are moved toward and away from each other. The case encloses the apparatus and includes a plate covering the sheet tray from an operator accessible side. The plate has an opening. When the pair of jogging fences is expanded to outward limits, one of the pair of jogging fences at the operator accessible side is passed by the plate through the opening and located at an outside position relative to the plate.
Abstract:
A novel output sheet handling apparatus includes outlets, ejection trays, a tray switching mechanism, an outlet switching mechanism, and a controller. Each of outlets ejects a recording sheet. The outlets include at least one straight outlet configured to eject a recording sheet and to eject no stack of recording sheets processed in a complex finishing mode. The ejection trays, at least same plurality as the plurality of outlets, include at least one ejection tray configured to receive the recording sheet from at least two outlets among the outlets. The tray switching mechanism performs a tray switching operation for switching one of the ejection trays in operation to another. The outlet switching mechanism performs an outlet switching operation for switching one of the outlets in operation to another. The controller performs a control operation for controlling the tray and outlet switching mechanisms to minimize a total distance which one of ejection trays in operation and another one are moved during the ejection tray switching operation in accordance with a finishing mode selected when the large capacity ejection mode is selected.
Abstract:
A cleaning sheet comprises a sheet-shaped base and an adhesive layer formed on at least one surface of the sheet-shaped base member. The adhesive layer has an adhesive strength in the range of 0.1-0.5 gf according to a 180-degree peel-off method provided by JIS Z-0237. Or the adhesive layer has a tackiness degree in the range of 1-5 according to a J DOW method provided by JIS Z-0237.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording method which can simply realize a plurality of resolutions in a single printer without varying the amount of ink per droplet is disclosed. An ink jet recording method comprises the steps of: selecting a recording medium; changing an image resolution depending on the selected recording medium; and ejecting ink droplets onto the recording medium to form ink dots thereon, wherein the amount of ink of the droplet is constant when the resolution is changed, and wherein the image resolution is changed so that ink penetrability or ink repellency of the recording medium makes the diameters of the ink dots on the recording medium fall in the range of from 100 to 160% of diagonal dot pitch of the resolution.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording film is provided which has well-balanced properties required of the ink jet recording film. The ink jet recording film comprises a transparent substrate, an anchor coat layer laminated on one side of the substrate, and an ink-receptive layer laminated on the anchor coat layer; wherein the ink-receptive layer comprises a polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 80 to 95% and a degree of polymerization of 1,000 to 2,000.
Abstract:
In an apparatus for tracking an optical disc, speed in acquiring a steady tracking condition is significant. That is, if the light beam is subjected to feedback while it is positioned in a positive feedback region, e.g., in the middle of adjoining tracks, the track servo system causes an oscillation. Therefore, according to the present invention, there is effected a comparison between the magnitude of signals from two pits disposed offset from the track and a pit on the track to determine the position of the light beam so that the tracking error signal may be inversed when the light beam is positioned in the middle of adjoining tracks. This will operate the tracking system in the negative feedback region to more quickly achieve a stable tracking state.
Abstract:
In an apparatus for tracking an optical disk, readiness in acquiring a steady tracking condition is significant. That is, if the light beam is subjected to feed back while it is positioned in a positive feed back region, e.g., in the middle of adjoining tracks, the track servo system causes an oscillation. Therefore, according to the present invention, the magnitudes of signals from two pits disposed offset from the track and a pit on the track are compared whereby position of the light beam is detected so that the tracking error signal may be cut off when the light beam is positioned in the middle of adjoining tracks.
Abstract:
The present invention is concerned with a levelling device of a roughness measuring machine and includes a device for searching a tilt angle of the center locus of a measured value of the roughness to a base line, a device for setting a tolerable tilt angle of the center locus, a comparator for determining whether the tilt angle is included in the tolerable tilt angle or not, and a device for changing the position of an object to be measured in accordance with the result of comparison by this comparator. When the tilt angle is determined to be not included in the tolerable tilt angle, a position change device is operated to change the position of the object, so that scale-out can be avoided.
