    摘要: A dustproof push-on switch for use in an electronic device is provided which includes a base, a movable contact, a stationary contact, and a push button. The push button is made of an elastic member and hermetically held by the base to protect the movable contact and the stationary contact from dust and dirt. The base has formed thereon an annular peripheral side wall and an annular rib to form an annular groove therebetween. The push button is fitted into the annular groove in elastically tight engagement therewith.

    摘要: A light-shield film pattern and a phase shifter are formed on a transparent substrate. An applied oxide film is used as the phase shifter. On this phase shift mask, a phase shifter defect is present. On the phase shift mask containing the phase shifter defect, a silicon-containing resist is applied. At this time, the film thickness of the resist is 50 nm in the flat part. Herein, the phase shifter defect is supposed to be a bump defect. When the resist is formed in a film thickness of 50 nm, the phase difference of the light entering through the film thickness is about 30 degrees. This resist is exposed with electron beam in a region including the periphery of the defect. After electron beam exposure, it is developed. Since the silicon-containing resist is a negative resist, only the region irradiated with electron beam is left over after development. Since the resist has a mild slope, if exposed using this phase shift mask, the bump defect will not be projected. Thus, when the both sides of the bump defect are dull, if the defect height is more than the height of providing the light with a phase difference of 180 degrees, it will not be projected. When the both sides of the bump defect are moderate, the incident light also changes moderately in phase. In this case, the pattern is not projected.

    摘要: An apparatus for preheating steel scrap comprises: a preheating vessel, having an open top and a bottom lid capable of being opened and closed, for receiving and preheating steel scrap, said preheating vessel being adapted to receive steel scrap to be preheated from said open top and to discharge the steel scrap preheated in said preheating vessel by opening said bottom lid; a hood downwardly flaring for covering said open top of said preheating vessel, said hood being movable from said open top of said preheating vessel and adapted to introduce high-temperature waste gases discharged from a steel-refining metallurgical furnace into said preheating vessel; a pit for housing said preheating vessel, said pit being provided with a duct for discharging to the outside said waste gases discharged into said pit from the bottom of said preheating vessel after preheating said steel scrap received in said preheating vessel; and, a canopy for sealing the gap between said pit and said preheating vessel housed in said pit, the gap between the periphery of said canopy and said pit being liquid-sealed. The apparatus is characterized in that: said canopy is gas-tightly fixed to said hood; and, the gap between said canopy and said preheating vessel housed in said pit is sealed by an expansion bellows fixed at an end thereof to said canopy.

    摘要: A magnetic head for magnetic tape recording and reproducing apparatus utilizing Mn-Zn single crystalline ferrite at least for the tip core or front portion of a head core where an air gap is formed, wherein different phases are locally precipitated only at the region including the air gap at the central portion thereof where a running magnetic tape contacts during the recording and reproducing operation of the apparatus. The output of the head is considerably increased with the ferrite noise inherent in single crystalline ferrite heads kept at a low level, in comparison with the conventional single crystalline ferrite heads in which the precipitation of the different phases is not limited to the above-noted region of the head core. The head is made by a method comprising disposing a masking film or coating of metal or oxide over the whole surfaces of the head core except for the above-mentioned region and treating the core at a temperature of 1,000.degree. C.-1,200.degree. C. under an atmosphere with an oxygen density of less than 3%.

According to the present invention, with a structure which is more simple and light-weight than conventionally, there is provided a direct-viewing type display device in which a frame region of a display panel, or a joint in the case of tiling, is obscured.

    摘要: A direct-viewing type display device includes: a display panel having a display region and a frame region provided outside the display region, with a boundary extending along a first direction between the display region and the frame region, the display region having a plurality of pixels arrayed therein; and a light-transmitting cover disposed on the viewer's side. The light-transmitting cover includes a lens portion disposed astride the boundary for refracting a portion of light going out from the display region toward the frame region. The lens portion refracts the light so that light emitted from the plurality of pixels in the display region has a substantially equal pitch on a plane which is perpendicular to the first direction. A line of intersection between the plane which is perpendicular to the first direction and a viewer-side surface of the lens portion is a curve which is not a circular arc.
