Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable medium for transmitting a capability signal to a network entity, wherein the capability signal indicates whether the UE is capable of supporting an uplink (UL) bandwidth that is equal to or less than a downlink (DL) bandwidth for communication over an unlicensed band; and exchanging a signal between the UE and the network entity over the unlicensed band according to the capability signal. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a codebook type for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback by the UE to a second device (e.g., a network device, a satellite, or a base station). The indication of the codebook type may indicate a HARQ feedback transmission configuration, such as a static HARQ feedback transmission configuration. The HARQ transmission configuration may be associated with a one bit or two bit HARQ codebook. The UE may receive a scheduled downlink shared channel transmission, and attempt to decode the received downlink shared channel transmission. The UE may transmit (or refrain from transmitting) the HARQ feedback based on the decoding of the scheduled downlink shared channel transmission and in accordance with the feedback mode.

Abstract: A new radio (NR) bit prioritization procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed, resulting in transmission and reception of modulation symbols having prioritized bits. For example, a transmitter may encode a code block using low-density parity-check code to generate a stream of encoded bits. The transmitter may arrange the encoded bits in one or more modulation symbols according to a relative priority of the encoded bits. The highest priority bits may be located in the most significant bits of the modulation symbol, and therefore be less likely to experience errors. A receiver may receive the modulation symbols and reorder the encoded bits according to the coding scheme based on the relative priority prior to decoding the encoded bits. The prioritization of the bits within the modulation symbols may provide improved block error rates over sequential mapping of encoded bits to symbols.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) receives physical downlink control channels from transmission and reception points (TRPs). The physical downlink control channels may be jointly decoded to facilitate joint demodulation of physical shared channels. The UE receives a first downlink control information (DCI) over a first downlink control channel associated with a first TRP and a second DCI over a second downlink control channel associated with a second TRP. The first downlink control channel overlaps in time with the second downlink control channel. The first DCI schedules a first downlink shared channel associated with the first TRP and the second DCI schedules a second downlink shared channel associated with the second TRP. The UE receives the first downlink shared channel and the second downlink shared channel that overlap in time. The UE performs joint demodulation of the first and second downlink shared channels.

The apparatus may also transmit a request for the rate matching or skipping the rate matching for the CRS offset based on the comparison of the PDSCH demodulation performance of the UE.

The UE may switch, based at least in part on the channel estimation mode switching event being satisfied, between a first channel estimation mode based at least in part on the actual PDP and a second channel estimation mode based at least in part on a template PDP. Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus may be a receiver device that includes an error correction decoder, such as a low-density parity check (LDPC) decoder. The apparatus may achieve power savings and/or operation cycle savings by disabling the error correction decoder in scenarios where bits of a codeword in a signal transmission are received without errors. The apparatus obtains a first set of bits of a codeword, wherein the codeword includes the first set of bits and a second set of bits, and wherein the second set of bits is punctured. The apparatus recovers the second set of bits based on at least the first set of bits and determines whether to operate an error correction decoder based on a result of an error detection operation performed on the codeword using the first set of bits and the second set of bits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support mobility between a non-terrestrial network (NTN) cell and a terrestrial network (TN) cell. If the UE is connected to an NTN cell, the UE may determine timing for a neighboring TN cell using a reference timestamp. A first network entity supporting the NTN cell may request the reference timestamp from a second network entity supporting the TN cell. The second network entity may output the timestamp in response to the request. The first network entity may obtain the timestamp and output an indication of the timestamp to the UE in a measurement gap configuration. The UE may use the reference timestamp to determine timing for a measurement gap and may monitor for a signal (e.g., a synchronization signal) from the second network entity supporting the TN cell during the measurement gap.
