    Abstract: The present disclosure addresses selection of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for control information multiplexed on a data channel. A spectral efficiency associated with control information may be derived as a function of a spectral efficiency associated with data. A modulation order and/or code rate may be selected that is suitable for the spectral efficiency associated with the data. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to determine a first MCS for control information based on spectral efficiency associated with transmission of data, and further configured to transmit the control information with the first MCS, the control information being multiplexed with data.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may allocate a set of information bits into multiple subsets of bits corresponding to channel instances of a channel. The transmitting device may encode a first subset of bits according to a first channel coding scheme for a first channel instance and a second subset of bits according to a second channel coding scheme for a second channel instance. The transmitting device may input encoded subsets of bits to a polarizing transform, which may output a set of encoded polarized bits that are transmitted to a receiving device. Upon reception of the encoded polarized bits, the receiving device may apply a depolarizing transform to obtain multiple subsets of bits corresponding to channel instances of the channel, and may decode each subset of bits according to a respective channel coding scheme.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may establish multiple unicast connections with multiple other UEs. The first UE may then determine individual sets of transmission parameters for each of the multiple other UEs, where the individual sets of transmission parameters may enable the first UE to receive transmissions from the multiple other UEs on a same set of time and frequency resources via a spatial division multiplexing scheme. For example, each of the individual sets of transmission parameters may include a transmission schedule adjustment, a transmit power, a transmit time, an indication of the time and frequency resources, or a combination thereof. The first UE may then transmit each of the individual sets of transmission parameters to a respective UE of the multiple other UEs.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may identify a set of resources for exchanging, with a second UE, resource availability information associated with a sidelink channel. The set of resources are not allocated to a legacy UE. Accordingly, the first UE may exchange, with the second UE and using the set of resources, the resource availability information associated with the sidelink channel. Alternatively, the legacy UE may receive, from the second UE, a communication on a sidelink channel and determine that the communication is associated with resource availability information for the sidelink channel Accordingly, the first UE may discard the communication based at least in part on the communication being associated with resource availability information for the sidelink channel.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A scheduling device may indicate that a transmit power remains constant for a duration of time. A transmitting user equipment (UE) may transmit reference signals on dedicated resources for automatic gain control (AGC) training. As the transmit power from the transmitting UE may remain constant, a receiving UE may determine an AGC configuration for current and subsequent transmissions based on measurements made on the dedicated resources. By using a prior transmission to determine an AGC configuration for a current transmission, a training symbol may not be included in each slot. A symbol formerly used for AGC training in the current transmission may be used to carry sidelink information.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for enhancing sidelink scheduling information to include a priority assigned to a sidelink transmission. For example, a transmitting wireless communication device may receive sidelink scheduling information scheduling a sidelink transmission from a transmitting wireless communication device to a receiving wireless communication device. The sidelink scheduling information may further include a priority indicator associated with the sidelink transmission. The transmitting wireless communication device may then transmit the sidelink transmission to the receiving wireless communication device based on the scheduling information. The priority indicator may further facilitate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook construction on the sidelink and uplink for the transmission of acknowledgement information of the sidelink transmission.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for prioritization of sidelink-based positioning transmissions. A first UE may receive a request to initiate a sidelink positioning session with a second UE for which a sidelink positioning transmission will overlap in a time domain with communication between the first UE and a base station over a Uu access link. The first UE may transmit the sidelink positioning transmission if a first priority level of the sidelink positioning transmission is higher than a second priority level of the communication over the Uu access link. The first UE may adjust transmission of the sidelink positioning transmission if the first priority level of the sidelink positioning transmission is not higher than the second priority level of the communication over the Uu access link.
